We got a T route from TMU the other day that pointed the aircraft directly at building precipitation, AND ran him through restricted airspace. Now that takes talent.

We short cutted him past the first T route fix to resolve the issues and TMU called immediately and asked why. Sounded like the guy had a big ole slice of cheesecake in his mouth on the line.

We have 1 TMU guy that maintains currency in our area. He only has 1 ultra high and needs a D side every time he sits, even with like 3 planes. It’s a joke.

I’m at a consolidated TRACON and we get TMU hires from outside the building who are only required to certify on one departure, and they don’t maintain currency.
Joke barely begins to describe the levels of ignorance some of them have.

Seems like the biggest thing NATCA in Washington accomplished this year was spreading COVID around a bunch of facilities. My area alone is out 5 controllers exposed to one asshole who attended and came back to work the next day.

If only someone could have foreseen this eventuality and just... not spent a bunch of money on a pointless party that totally does legitimate work, guys we swear.
