I got in contact with the fac rep and apparently there were about 20 selections made recently. I know they've been running behind bc automation issues and what not. Sounds like they plan to select an additional 10-15 but I don't know the timeline on those. Things are rolling along; it's the govt though, so, slowly rolling.

2/23 TOL issued
3/14 Email from ASH for background investigation
4/11 I emailed ASH inquiring on status of background, they replied it was sent to OPM for processing and timeline is unknown

FOL may be contingent on verification of clearances. So still waiting.

Yeah. I guess high level facilities require it. My ATM got a temp job at a level 12 and had to do the 6-hour questionnaire getting things verified.

We have run into this at my facility too recently.... people going from controllers to temporary supervision jobs in house... or controller to support specialist at the co-located facility have had to redo their background stuff.... I ask why and was told it was supposed to be done every time someone moved and wasn't but they are now cracking down on it... not sure how true that is but I've seen people scrambling to do it as well. Also a handful of controllers/supervisors have gotten an email saying their security clearance was expiring and they had to do it all again... weren't even changing jobs.

I think it may have to do with confidential vs secret security clearance.

My AVIATOR application status page no longer provides a “Referral List Status.” It now only states my application is among those being reviewed which makes me wonder if something changed for the worse.

All of what I had to do is for public trust. I think it’s only just to verify clearance. In the TOL, it mentions having to verify both medical and security clearance and so I had to submit the latest stuff for their system called eQIP. Oh, I have to routinely do security checks every 5 years. Used to be every 10 years, but that changed maybe 3 or 4 years ago. I've done I think 2 updates since my hire in 2008.

Did the fingerprinting and background check, got FOL beginning of April. Start date this summer.

I feel like your trolling...dont do me like that.
