True and I agree, though it no longer justifies the simple existence of “working traffic” to stay, when equal benefits / career progression are found in other spots within the agency.

If you’re happy that’s cool. I got 10 more years til I’m eligible. The things I hate are supervisors, scammers, and quick turns. If I could have 4 10 hour days id be ecstatic….

Well, a good part of the job and organization suck ass. Unlike a lot of the liars, I like working traffic which is why I’ve always been a controller..

At the end of the day, despite what all these people claim, if they love working traffic, they’d simply…work…traffic…

I dont disagree. But as someone who works traffic.... Id happily give it up for a pay raise/m-f gig..... Anyone who says otherwise probably doesn't enjoy their home life/outside of work life. Which is cool, but everyone is different!

Small edit: I really enjoy working traffic too, its why I chose ATC over going FSS. Mainly because I couldn't see myself doing FSS and not ATC for another 15 years.

The desk is boring but honestly the perks far outweigh the parts I miss by and large so far. Definitely less drama and not gonna lie I haven't used any leave at all since I've gone to the other side and have had more time off when I actually want to be off so it's all been a net positive. Plus ya, I'm making more.

I never really enjoyed working traffic all that much to begin with honestly. I liked it well enough but I was rapidly growing tired of it and all that comes with it as the years went on.
