NATCA has moved backwards because of the amount of collaboration, NCEPT, too many people off on 114’s and different NATCA boondoggles along with the decreased fight, public awareness of what is going on etc.
Leave it to a govt shutdown and all of a sudden NATCA wakes up and acts like they have a fight in them on national media outlets daily. Status quo and zero fights. This election should wake NATCA up or else they can live with declining membership numbers and less overall involvement.

Think about it. NATCA collaborates on fatigue awareness’s training…..FAA wants to try and get controller more rest albeit maybe not perfect. NATCA “why are you doing that”, FAA “haven’t we agreed controllers are fatigued? We put joint training out on it.”
