Anybody read the email from National that dropped today where our venerable legal counsel tried to sell us a bridge with regards to our contract raises?

This fuckin dope actually tried to give NATCA credit for the presidential raises and locality adjustments when comparing them to his fantasy land inflation data.

He then tries to gaslight the audience by using an absurd comparison to DAL pilots, who make more than L12 pay once they transition from reserve to line status.

Would our paid counsel care to use his crayon charts to explain how the purchasing power of the average controller's salary is down over 25% when compare to Green Book pay?

They're trying to lube you up before they fuck you with the Throbbing Cock of Perpetual Contract Extension. What a fucking joke of a human.

The Contract committee who negotiated the Purple and Light Blue TA brought up this presentation during their teams video Q&A last week. Mark Rausch (Region X RVP) talked about how it was an “eye opening” presentation when he saw it at ATX. The only thing eye opening about it is how disconnected from reality our union leaders are.

This is why JD and Mike Redmond should’ve gotten the win. Ya get what you vote for and we’re seeing that now more than ever. If this isn’t a blatant lesson to not vote for people just because their campaign looks pretty idk what is.

I’m dead serious. It’s time to start exploring the process to decertify NATCA.
This is just a quote from a quick google search:
“To decertify a public union, a significant portion of employees within the bargaining unit must file a petition with the appropriate labor relations board, typically requiring signatures from at least 30% of the unit, demonstrating a desire to remove the union as their representative; then, a decertification election is held where a majority vote against union representation is needed to successfully decertify the union.”

I say let’s get an online petition going for those who would like to decertify. If all we need is 30% to trigger a decert election it’s definitely not as difficult as a lot of us probably thought. Even if there wasn’t a majority turnout in the election I would like to think it would send a strong message to these fucks at National who seem to be in the agency’s back pocket. There has to be a better union out there for us, the shit they pulled about gaslighting pay raises is wild. What fucking Union does that??

The ~20% that voted for JD and Redmond should have made a big enough statement and we all thought it might have. But here we are. If there isn’t a majority vote in the decert election I think the union would honestly try to blacklist everyone who voted against them while still collecting their dues for as long as possible. It seems like a stint they’d pull.

I honestly would not be surprised.

I hope these contracts do not get ratified and they have to go to arbitration.
On another hand I would not doubt that NATCA would just cheat on the votes and make them look like the members voted overwhelmingly to ratify their measly 1.6%.

This gaslighting needs to be sent to national news outlets.

With movement next to nothing there is no disadvantage to being black listed.
Show up to work and collect a paycheck every two weeks.
NATCAs benefits aren’t much if you know how to show up and work. They would like everyone to believe they have so many benefits and they don’t.

They’re absolutely trying to set the table for an extension that’s gonna be announced soon before Trump admin starts.
Coincidence that Whitaker is stepping down next month?
Probably doesn’t want to face the wrath of Trump if an extension is in the works.
NATCA can face the wrath because an extension should be anounced before Trump takes office and everyone has until 1/31/25 to file their SF1188!!!
Get them ready!

When is the anticipated day when we will know the light blue and purple contract is ratified or not? Voting closed last Tuesday I believe

I thought voting was open until today (12/17). Could be wrong though
Voting ends at 8pm EST today (12/17).

I'm personally worried there are enough Light Blue Book people and non-SSS Purple Book people that it will pass.

It's pretty clear that the biggest enemy of NATCA BUEs are those in charge of NATCA at the national level. We have a "special counsel" to the president that is being paid from dues money telling everyone that we are paid enough and to not worry about raises. We have a contract bargaining team that thought it was more important to negotiate telework and training instead of pay with this current negotiation. And we have a national office staff where there are 11 people in Public Relations - 3 of which are "deputy directors" to the main PR director - that can barely manage & engage on their social media accounts.

P.S. His last name if "Freedman" if you'd like to correct that; just to make it easily searchable in on here for future reference.

Yall pussys better man the fuck up and vote that shit down

Oh yeah, it's going to pass. They have 'fear-porned' and browbeaten everyone into passing this turd. I'm going to register my dissent by eliminating all of the funds I ship to NATCA.

Think I'm going to adopt this little slogan until such time as cucks no longer run this club: The 'no pay due to NATCA' will continue until morale improves.

Don’t forget to be thankful for all the 114s

Unless you know how to get ahold of everyone else under the Light Blue Book and Purple Book, I don't know what you can expect.

Fun Facts Per the NATCA Directory:
There are 448 BUEs assigned to EAC (Engineering/Aeronautical Center). 57 of them show as "current members" with remaining 391 showing as non-members.
There are 106 BUEs assigned to EAL (Engineer/Alaska Region). 42 of them show as "current member" with the remaining 64 showing as non-members.
There are 161 BUEs assigned to ECE (Engineer/Central Region). 29 of them show as "current member) with the remaining 132 showing as non-members.

Obviously many of those non-members are likely retired/no longer in that position, but still that kind of drives home my point. There are 7 more Engineer region assignments in the NATCA directory, plus HQ staff, plus aircraft certification offices, plus registered Flight Service Stations. There are a lot of non-controllers that are BUEs that have nothing to do with controlling, and they might actually give a damn about telework to some degree; I really don't know. All I know is several SSSs I have spoken with are voting against it, and only a couple I have spoken to are voting in favor of it. SSSs might vote it down, but I think we are an extremely small group of the Purple & Light Blue bargaining unit.
