Welp...found out today I'm disqualified for my Army flight physical to be a pilot. That doesn't worry me at all for my medical clearance with the FAA. Nope. Not at all.
Eh don't let it bother you to much, FAA physical is 3 steps #1 Are you alive? #2 Is your heart beating #3 Are you not crazy? If you pass all these questions you can get an FAA Physical. Military flight physical standards are dumb as shit sometimes. For example I got a disqualifying flight physical from the reserves immediately after applying for the same job I did on Active Duty for something diagnosed years before while on flying status. Sometimes you just have to fight the stupidity.

I'd find it hard to believe if you had literally one migraine and that's it that would disqualify you. Lemme tell you....they make mistakes. Trust me on that one.

It wasn't one migraine per say. I had a 3 month period of 4 migraines that were from a different cause which wasn't disqualifying. During that time I had 1 when I woke up. They specifically stated the reason for disqualification was because of the migraine when I awoke in the morning. Which just seems strange to me that it disqualifies me from my Army flight physical.

Well that's good to know. Glad to hear something from someone who's semi been through the same issue as me. Doesn't surprise me one bit there's plenty of stupid with the Army physicals. Just a little nerve racking failing it while waiting on my FAA medical to clear.

Waiting for my CIL- which will arrive on Monday per HR specialist.

Anyone here in the Pacific NW (Washington state)?
If so, where has your medical and fingerprints been done? Hoping to not have to travel far.

I live in that area. did my fingerprints at a local firearms dealer. Medical done with Dr. Foltz in Vancouver. Urinalysis done somewhere in Vancouver.

Right here. I did mine with my security POC (KM) in Renton at the FAA building. Couldn't have been easier.

Just got The Call at 1:30pm PST. Offered 4/27 but requested a June date. Waiting to hear back.

pool 2 enroute, AGL

Who is you HR POC? I did my physical and drug test a few days before you, but my medical POC said they have MMPIs scored up to 2/26, and I did mine on 3/2. Heres to hoping the call comes soon!

I took mine on 2/26, so here’s hoping I’m not crazy! 😉

Just got home last night from traveling 2.5 hours for the Aeromedical test, and then another 2 hours beyond that for the drug test.

Had a nice dinner on the way home to mark the end of my contributions to the process. It's been fun, and all in the FAAs hands now.

Good luck to everybody else! I'm glad to hear people are getting class dates.
