Government Shutdown

It’s the airport in aero center that ends everyone’s career before it even starts.

From what I hear about their training program it ends a lot of actual careers too. One of those Level 5’s where it takes 2.5 years or more to certify and a 55% success rate because they expect you to be able to work it like it’s JFK. Got to love those places, used to be lots of those but luckily they are dying out as dinosaurs retire.

Honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if they made everyone reschedule their academy date and start over (minus Basics).

Unfortunately, it's been so long that this sounds like something they would do. Just to avoid anyone who fails blaming it on a ~40 day or more gap in training.

Fake news

I am very happy the govt is back open, however I hope our brothers and sisters in the northeast being sick today doesnt bring unwanted attention towards us.
Should we expect repercussions?

Look at the National Air Traffic Pizza and Beer Club celebrating the win, when they had absolutely nothing to do with it. The workers who didn't show up did.

This was several years ago before the furlough.

Oh awesome that's a relief I was scared it would be a drawn out processing

Yeah its gonna take a while to get all the differentials in there so they probably will just cut checks for the standard 80 then go back and add that stuff later. Which leads to my question.

Does the FAA ever run special payrolls to correct errors? or will it just go on the next check.
