I took my MMPI on the 15th and haven't heard a word.
Ok, I am speaking from the same amount of experience as you, but this is what I have gathered:Has anyone that scored in the qualified band received a tol? I'm still hoping I'll get one but I'm also thinking that I need to start preparing for the next announcement. I claimed veterans preference and scored in the qualified band, trying to see why I didn't get a tol/see what I can do to make sure I get one in the future.
Has anyone completed their drug test BEFORE going to the medical exam? The email says it needs to be completed within 5 business days of medical, but doesn’t specify if it has to be before or after.
Thank you!It doesn't matter what you take first or second. As long as they're all done within 5 days.
Ok, I am speaking from the same amount of experience as you, but this is what I have gathered:
The referred applicants were broken into three pools: best qualified, well qualified, and qualified. I know earlier this week someone who was in the “best qualified” had yet to receive a TOL. Not sure if that means there were a ton of best qualified candidates, or if they just haven’t finished sending them out. Only HR knows at this point and they aren’t sharing their secrets.
Vet pref in and of itself isn’t going to guarantee a TOL. It can help push you into the “best qualified” pool instead of “well qualified” but if your score was a 65 and the point bump is why you were referred(because it raised your score above 70), that isn’t going to make much of a difference in the selection process.
It’s why I wish they would be more clear and transparent on what your score was. That way if it didn’t work out this bid, you would know how far off you were before going through the whole process again.
Whatever the outcome, best of luck to you, and thanks for your service.
Apparently several people have called HR and asked. I am not one of those people, so I’m only sharing what’s been posted on hereWait; how are you even supposed to know which tier you're in?

You aren't supposed to know and frankly it doesn't matter. If you don't get a TOL then you didn't score high enough.Wait; how are you even supposed to know which tier you're in?
I would disagree that it doesn’t matter if I have additional bids I’m eligible to apply for. If I have vet preference and I didn’t get a TOL, knowing if my score was a 70 vs an 89 will probably play into if I waste my time with this process againYou aren't supposed to know and frankly it doesn't matter. Really, it's not a waste of time anytime because the pool of applicants change every year. Some years may have a higher average than others. So if you got referred, and this is still something you're interested in, then it's worth a shot to apply again.I would disagree that it doesn’t matter if I have additional bids I’m eligible to apply for. Tangent: If you are 10pt and are well qualified, the hiring agency is required to submit the reason in writing to OPM, and allow you the ability to respond, which then gets ruled on. If you have 10pts and aren't getting TOL or notification of non-selection, it's because of the score.I would disagree that it doesn’t matter if I have additional bids I’m eligible to apply for. Okay this is the first I've heard of a 10pt and an OPM. Do you mind explaining what those mean?Tangent: If you are 10pt and are well qualified, the hiring agency is required to submit the reason in writing to OPM, and allow you the ability to respond, which then gets ruled on.
