NEST NEST

Not to hijack this thread, but if I’ve been certified at 2 previous facilities and withdraw from training at my third, will my 2 previous facilities be on my list? I have certified at a level 11 and 10 enroute and am not liking my current facility and am currently training on my last position.
You can FastTrack back to your previous facility without going through the NEST lotto.

Weird, at our region meeting last year they said that withdrawals got a reduced list to cut down on people playing bidding anywhere and withdrawing to get a huge list. I thought it was smart.

If memory serves, as long as they were certified at their previous facility and it was below 100% they could withdraw and go right back to it as if nothing happened. If they withdrew from training and did not want to be returned, they would be considered in last place for NEST facilities after training failures.

I think that was for new hire withdrawals but I'm not very confident I'm remembering that correctly.

Yeah they could still fast track back but there was supposed to be a reduced list if they didn't want to

I don't think so, but even if that's what it was the guy above me said first facility withdrawal and over 70 options

That’s how it is now. It changed a year or two ago because of the withdrawals who were getting offered 20+ facilities

Would they just offer a training withdrawal at their first facility the bottom ten projected staffed facilities? Any experiences with this for anyone at lvl 10-12?

I think it will depend on your level facility and what ratings you get. I withdrew from a level 11, first facility and got 1 R-Side. Was offered 5 facilities- 7 up/down, 6 up/down, 2 5 up/downs, and a 5 tower only. Most of those offers are decently staffed, definitely not bottom. And you will only be offered up to a max of 5.

My training was terminated at a lvl 12 center on first two rsides and got a list of 16 tower only, one being a 7, around five 6s and five 5s and a few 4s.

I think I might have messed up in going to my new facility for non ATC related reasons. My question is, is it possible to withdraw from training and go back to the previous facility (with less than 100 percent staffing) while still in classrooms/labs? My previous ATM thinks I might not be able to do it unless I'm on the floor training, so just wondering if anyone knows.

Only if there are return rights, where did you go?

I didn't go somewhere with return rights. The flow chart posted above by CK (" NEST bypass fast track for CPC-IT") is for places with return rights only?

The way I read the NEST SOP was that you could go back to your previous facility regardless of return rights as long as you were CPC there and projected staffing is less than 100. But for C90 and N90 if you washed out or withdrew you'd automatically get sent back regardless of if you wanted to or not.

you are correct

You can withdraw and fast track back at any time. Everyone has pseudo return rights as long as your prev fac is less than 100% Projected. The return rights language in some MOUs currently is basically to force you back so you can't use a priority MOU to scam a release and then play the NEST lotto.

I think this was actually one of The best things they could have done.

Too many people were going in for the NEST lotto scam. Some people even got the move/PCS money and never even made it out of the labs on those bids only to get offered dream facilities in the lotto....
