I most certainly care when the request is right after I got a DAT from approach. I don't say unable for no reason, if I'm saying unable it's because I can see something that isn't going to work with the request or I straight up don't think the person down stairs is capable of pulling it off.I love the guys in the tower that say unable for no reason. Who cares? If it gets the plane on the ground quicker and you have nothing coming out why does it matter? If the best reason is cuz you think approach is being lazy and you don't want to help them, that's incredible
And to clarify the request was for an ODO practice visual approach to the inactive for an a/c not landing at my airport. They just wanted a t/g then move on to their home field 12 miles away.
Some of y'all seem like I personally offended you.
Edit: Also you all know you don't need to have experience being a radar controller or tower controller to know that someone working opposite of you isn't that great at their job.
It wasn't a pilot request. I was monitoring before calling for a release so I heard the exchange. Are you monitoring them and know it's not a pilot request? Pilots hate getting vectored around more than controllers.
