The woeful unpreparedness of Management

Yes now all the Easter snark for the political zealots will have to turn into May snark. Since everything is political and Orange man bad. Even as thousands are dying and the country is thrown into a deep recession/depression. At least there isn't anyone left calling this a hoax.

Guess this answers "how long will we be on these new Coronavirus schedules"... at least a month. Dark days and scary times.

I like how you simultaneously call Trump derangement syndrome/orange man bad when people call out your cult leader on the Easter thing, and literally 1 sentence later are saying thank God no one is calling it a hoax anymore as if this is the same group of people we are talking about.

Gimme a break. Accept the fact he's a fucking moron with zero redeeming qualities as a human, an American or a leader and move on wirh the rest of us.

lol

Trump’s approval ratings and handling of the crisis ratings have been higher lately, I think most rational people understand that nobody could have prevented with other then China and that shutting down the country can’t last forever.
A rational leader could have been ordering tens Of millions of test kits in January after listening to their own intelligence briefing.

jimmy carters approval rating jumped ~30 points during the Iran hostage crisis. George Bush approval was in the 90s within weeks of 9/11.

Presidential approval during a crisis always goes up. The fact that his has only gone up a few points isn’t really good news for him.

in other words, Orange man Bad! the root of all evil. remember that one time he called Haiti a shithole? GASP. that was like, sooo bad. Clutching every pearl I have. He made America Great Again, and Sleepy Joe will make senility cool again. Either way every micro and macro thing that happens in the world is definitely the POTUS fault. According to some in this thread, he even has mind control over J. Vincent when it comes to Coronavirus schedule negotiations. China unleashed a devastating virus on the world, but we are in deep shit because of Trump lol. Everything is his fault. The whole republican party too according to you. If only Nancy and Chuck were in charge we would have came out of this unscathed and all our grandparents would have lived. Or you are just making partisan political attacks. i'll go w the latter.

IN other Quarantine news... Ozark season 3 is amazing so far. Cant stop laughing at this season.

Why was Green Day just on the Fox concert, dont they hate America?

We (NATCA?) should send pizzas or something to local nurses/hospitals. I feel a little bit guilty that we have our #BestJobinTheWorld while a lot of the country is suffering. That would be a lot more useful than wasting it on the PAC.
How did you get blanket ‘orange man bad’ from that post?
If the party line wasn’t ‘this is fake outrage’ then it wouldn’t have taken a whole month to get half the country to take it serious. Forget voluntary social distancing, our country’s culture is very poorly equipped to deal with something like this. SouthKorea started developing a test 4 days before they even had a case, I bet they didn’t have their most watched propaganda channel throwing gas on the fire.
His entire cult actually believes what he says. It matters.

Is this a joke? Trump's laughably incompetent handling of the virus has resulted in preventable deaths.

We should have a competition of dumbest practices even though we've implemented the "three team / 5 on 10 off" concept.

My contribution is I work at an up/down with a drop tube (I would kill to install EFSTS). Today, day one of this new schedule I found out that whatever portion of the building that you are assigned to on your first day of the week (twr/tracon) is where you'll work for the entirety of said week to stop cross contamination.

The best part is we all come in and out the same door. Use the same computer to sign in and out / do our mandatory WX brief and check CEDAR.

Best part is the plastic flight strip holders that get rotated through the building twice if not three times in the same 8 hours of a shift.

So don't give me that cross contamination bullshit. The good ol boys assigned all 3 of themselves down in a 1200sqft+ room and tossed 4 of us pee on's in the 300sqft twr.

IMO, at this point this whole thing boils down more to the decisions we make as individuals vs. the decisions being made in Washington and in State Capitals.

Everybody knows the situation now, and everyone is familiar with the guidelines to help mitigate it. i.e. stay at home whenever possible = good, go around other people unnecessarily = bad.

If people would stop being stupid and having house parties, or going to the beach, or meeting up with several friends at the park, etc., then the whole damn thing would be way easier to manage. Virtually everything in the world is shut down to try and keep people apart, and yet some people are still so stupid and/or arrogant that the virus is still spreading like wildfire.

Whether the politicians could/should be doing more or something else, ultimately we as a society need to take responsibility and do our part. And start calling out the morons who don’t.

Honestly I feel like the current path we are on is the longest to recovery. Some are listening some aren't so it's more like a trickle effect. Ppl are still getting sick but at a slower rate but we really aren't stopping anything.

Either let it be a free for all and let it spike and come back down fast (most loss of life) or lock everyone in for 21 to 28 days and let it die out.

Pick one, because this halfway / middle shit ain't working.

It is working though... Haven't you seen all the flatten the curve stuff? The point is to slow it down so that hospitals aren't completely overloaded all at the same time. It's more sustainable like this

Dude I get that... That's not the argument. If you look at all the flatten the curve charts the social distancing curve is two thirds longer than the "peak" curve.

What I'm say is we are neither. We are something in the middle. Social distancing is optional at this point. Look around a lot are still living life as usual. What I'm saying is either give up and rip the bandaid off or lock shit down. Don't just shrug and be like "well you guys should really stay indoors"

Unless you live in nyc you still have a better chance of dying to anything else so I think it’s fine. Time to turn this thing back on.

Realistically people would riot if it was a legit can't leave your house lockdown.... And ripping the band-aid off is being ok with killing your friends and family. It's very easy to be abstract and cold when it's not someone related to you, but when a friend of yours passes anyone that's not a sociopath would have to prefer any kind of measure to slow it down. Sure there are still people outside, but there's also a lot of people inside that you can't see... because they're inside. Seeing some people walking or shopping or whatever and saying "welp it's business as usual I guess... might as well just let people die for no reason ?‍♂️" is a pretty crazy mindset if you ask me

My 66 yro dad w/copd lives with me.... I'm sure he'd be toast. He refuses to go out. I'm not out and about living life. I'm just saying pick one already and move on.

I'm not going to get into it with anyone I'm just over the beating around the bush bullshit.
