Training hold

We must be dangerously close to getting back to normal schedules given all this nonsense. Good thing our replacements still don’t have a straight answer or any information on when the furlough notices are coming out.

It’s not like I knew exactly when I would cert to the day. I was just going off of a very cyclical training progression and going off of what my trainers were saying. Already having 4 sectors when we got pregnant and needing 2 done in 9 months didn’t seem like a far off goal.

Future career protip-dont put your life on hold for the agency any more than you have to. Have that kid. Buy that house. Go on that vacation.

They don't care about you, why care what anyone thinks. If you let this job dictate your life you are going to be miserable in 5 years, let alone a 25 or 30 year career.

He didn’t put his life on hold. He just wants to certify because he’s been training for years and now he can’t.

Is there anything you can do to avoid furloughs or prevent them?

Me personally? No. You personally? No. the union? Yep! Instead, they're actively shoving their heads in the sand acting like traffic will come back in a few weeks or months and then we can discuss going back to normal. *THIS IS THE NEW NORMAL* Stop putting trainees careers at risk. Today I heard that both parties were shocked that despite trainees being at home, COVID still got into facilities. They acted legitimately surprised. Stop being dumb about this and realize this is the reality we live in now.

Lmao like trainees are more likely to get corona virus. Not someone making 160k with 10 days off.

Current traffic is supposed to double over the next month. It will take a long time to beat last year's numbers, but this isn't the new normal. Your baseless fear mongering has been ignorant and stupid since it started, but it's getting really old.

580k traveled yesterday. Still increasing 10-20% a week. July is going to be much busier. Also domestic is going to get a lot closer but international restrictions is going to keep the overall numbers look low.

jetblue announced 30 new destinations out of EWR yesterday.

I think mnsalty is one of the best "new posters" on here in a while. lol just cuz he isnt cookie cutter boring group think zombie who parrots the same shit as everyone else no need to tear him down. the furlough shit is not only funny, but has potential truth to it considering we are in UNPRECEDENTED times. you dont know anything more than he does about whats happening where this road goes. And we obviously have a new normal that the world as a whole hasn't accepted yet with the economy. the extra $600 unemployment and free Fed stimulus gravy train wont last forever.

In the narc thread you actually had the poster saying he hoped the guy put a shotgun in his mouth, and then someone else comment that "lots of people on this forum wish you would die too", to me. Or salty ass ppl saying "hes a legendary member" every time i post something they disagree with and cry that it needs to be modded. Why not just ignore him if its so stupid ignorant and old? I have 4 people on ignore and the site is so much better. mnsalty is forum all star compared to these "regulars". ppl should ignore me too if theyre so triggered.

I warned 'em all from the guys very first post about furloughs not to feed into it. But they just keep feeling the need to give him all this attention.

I tell people: I got myself in a lot of trouble for seeking attention in negative ways as a kid. But if I had saved it all for present times, I'd be elected president for it.

At this point, I don't even blame him.

Also, it'd take almost 2 years of 1 day a week furloughs to make up for the last few months I've had off, and while the odds of that are basically zilch, I still wouldn't be that bummed about 4 day workweeks for a couple years.
