they voted in 30$ car tabs last year and king county was like "nope, we will keep our expensive car tabs across the state (some as expensive as 1-2k a year)" and it never went into effect regardless of what the vote was.

This is what I don’t understand about the “mob rule” reason. So In order to protect the minority we put them in charge? How is that fair? This theory also pretends the senate doesn’t exist. Wyoming and California have 2 senators, California has ~70 times more people in it. That’s a huge amount of representation for the people of Wyoming.

Fair that people would pick the reality about the person over hypotheticals. For over 8 years people in private businesses lost money and had reduction in force, even unionized employees saw job loss. If you think that somehow CNN telling you he’s not for blue collar you should talk to some entrepreneurs.

AND it pretends the House of Representatives is anything close to fair. Wyoming has one Rep and less than 600k inhabitants, so a ratio of 1:600k. California has 53 Reps and 39,500k inhabitants, a ratio of 1:745k. Just on that alone, someone voting in the Presidential election in Wyoming has 24% more power than someone voting in California.

Add in the Senators and it's far worse, someone in Wyoming has a whopping 259% more power than someone in California. That's insane.

Maybe people shouldn't be so excited to go out and choose their next leader who will go out and raise their taxes, lower their personal freedoms, and try to forcibly impose their version of morality on the "other 49% of losers."

Maybe we should focus on critical thinking, realize that all media is inherently biased because media companies are revenue driven and get out of the mindset that a vote for a 3rd or 4th or 5th party candidate is "throwing your vote away."

The "mob rule reason" just showcases the "winner vs loser" mentality that fucking destroyed this country.
