Thinking of Phillyman2633 and Horny4Vectors during these trying times.
Today is 8 months to the day since I've been to work...you wont see me reaching out and asking to come back to work but I'm also not down with being RIF'd. Although like others have pointed out, I cant imagine Biden kicking off his career by laying off federal employees any more than I can see Cocaine Mitch risking the 2 senate seats up for grabs.

If someone calls me and says "come back to work if you want to stay employed" then yeah I'm all about getting paid...but if I'm not needed, I'd much rather sit at home than get thrown into a conference room and stare at a wall until next June because my county is in the red.

Biden says he down with the feds except phillyman2633 and horny4vectors. He was quoted as saying “they gone”

Doesn't stop OJT for people who have started OJT (i.e. people who were in training but had enough positions to be deemed essential and were in the building already), but it has been preventing people not yet back in the building from coming in. Now it sounds like those people are coming in (unless they have zero positions at all), but they're still waiting on the map to go green/yellow before starting their OJT.

Realistically I'd imagine the people who have one or more positions, but not enough positions to be already working, to be a pretty small number. Like people were saying, even FD/CD are deemed "essential" in a lot of towers. But I could be wrong.
They were non-essential at my place, but they were recalled last week for staffing to stay on 5/5. Were told they can’t train but I assume a waiver can be had for that too. The goal is to get people through local/CPC ASAP to bolster staffing I think. But I’m just a lowly high risk peon lol.

Well I’m glad you’re taking this is so well. I always thought 5/5 was sweet from a “not working as much” perspective but I would have always traded it in for no pandemic. 8 months of CPC-IT money for free would make me think twice. Lol.

Assuming that a RIF would force them to offer up staff support and sup jobs to the CPC-IT would it not? They're technically qualified and that would satisfy the agency requirements to attempt to place them in New jobs.

Sounds like A-side only trainees are not included in the recall
Heh, that was one thing I thought the email made pretty clear. Not saying it makes any sense to being them in, just that they clearly qualify for recall per the email.
