DOD Facility List

Pretty interesting to see just how many facilities there are. Out of curiosity; I don't see any enroute-type facilities on the list and can't think of any the military would operate except for maybe AWACS-type airborne control. Are there any DoD facilities or programs where they do enroute (or similar)?

I think USMC has at least 2 CERAPs (MCAS Yuma & MCAS Cherry Point). They combine both TRACON & ARTCC duties due to having high altitudes in their assigned airspace. Navy and USAF may also have similar ATC facilities.

There used to be 3 or 4 en route scopes inside the NATCF (Nellis ATC Facility) before ZLA bought all the overlying airspace above. I believe they [en route areas] were due to a weird time of after the MOAs/ATCAAs and restricted areas were redefined as surface to infinity but before the DoD was comfortable letting the FAA control up above all that. Though it really doesn’t matter who owns it as nothing flies over there but satellites.

To answer your question, there are currently no dedicated en route DoD facilities like an FAA Z. A few work high altitude as a CERAP as DoD4Life said above.
