I remember that from like 15-20+ years ago.Oops I'm leaking
It's from 2012, close enough.I remember that from like 15-20+ years ago.
With the attention span of a 4 year old. This will take complex planning and long range funding. Do you really think this administration has the will or the expertise to do those things? This is a new government.
I do not think the administration has the attention span, but I do think Duffy does. This is the most ATC has been in the news in decades. If there was ever a time to shift/consolidate this is the moment. With the attention span of a 4 year old. This will take complex planning and long range funding. And we have a whole union pushing for new equipment that's represented sometimesI do not think the administration has the attention span, but I do think Duffy does. This is the most ATC has been in the news in decades. If there was ever a time to shift/consolidate this is the moment.
Providing there is bipartisan support, and (again going on Duffy's word) regular reports to congress with progress being made, I see it happening.
Nah, most of it is gonna be two moves where you don't wanna be.Imagine getting to go where you want out of try academy and then trying to force everyone to move again.

Like it or not, both terms under DT have had some focus on ATC improvement. Although we may not agree with the concepts or plans, it has been a topic for which I have seen nothing from the blue team.
I grew up with ATC parents in the 80s and been active ATC myself since 1996 and can openly admit, this has been the only administration who has even mentioned improvement publicly with a plan and in the news. If you need proof, go check the dedication plaque on your facility and see what year it was. As much as I don't agree with some of it, it's progress we need to see happen. If you are here to just complain and not help it happen, you're in the way.
Make fun, poke jokes and laugh all you want about DT. What I am seeing is an attempt and atleast a half cocked plan which sadly is more than I've seen from the side that is supposed to be in line with our Union. A shiny new system will validate paying the folks who operate it well. Perhaps being bipartisan is not a bad idea because onces he's gone, it'll be crickets once again as history has shown us.
Keep reporting the system issues and keep us in the news.
That jump started it but the EWR issues with the radar/frequencies and staffing would have us in pretty much the same spot we are currentlyWe have focus because a tragedy happened at DCA. If that never happened, most of America would think we still wave wands on the ramp.
Absolutely. I work up the 95 and they're all up in everyone's arse r now.We have focus because a tragedy happened at DCA. If that never happened, most of America would think we still wave wands on the ramp.
I think the news on DCA unfortunately got the general public on board. Not everyone understands tech, but we all understand death. That jump started it but the EWR issues with the radar/frequencies and staffing would have us in pretty much the same spot we are currently
