DoD Transfer

Does anyone know how transfers work in the DoD? I'm a military spouse so I would be trying to relocate when my spouse gets new orders. Currently FAA but that's been a disaster trying to be in the same place thanks to NCEPT.

Does anyone know how transfers work in the DoD? I'm a military spouse so I would be trying to relocate when my spouse gets new orders. Currently FAA but that's been a disaster trying to be in the same place thanks to NCEPT.

I left the FAA for DOD and a guy I work with did the same thing. His spouse is also military. You'll have to apply on usajobs to an opening at their new location. Who knows when that will be though. My coworker plans on CPC reinstating to an FAA facility close to his spouse's new base. That will be the spouse's last PCS though. Not sure how the facilities would feel about you constantly quitting and reapplying.
