Signed FOL a few weeks ago. Looking to see if anyone has been given a date this far out yet. Haven't decided on housing just yet.
What day is everyone moving in? I'll be there on the 28th. If anyone is feeling up to grabbing lunch or something on the 29th let me know. Might as well get to know each other.
Nope I wish, just easily my favorite executive jet.Did you previously fly a Falcon 2000
I won't be there until the 30th, but I did secure an Anatole rez (thanks for the help Floppy). What day is everyone moving in? I'll be there on the 28th. If anyone is feeling up to grabbing lunch or something on the 29th let me know. Might as well get to know each other.
Just a FYI you may already know, the FAA only pays for you to stay the night before classes. You'll be responsible for any earlier arrival date yourself. What day is everyone moving in? Yeah, I kinda figured. That's okay though, I just want to be settled in. Didn't think the FAA would pay for an all inclusive get away to beautiful Oklahoma. I just want to grocery shop and learn the area a little bit before class starts. Thank you though, cause I didn't know for sure how far out they paid.Just a FYI you may already know, the FAA only pays for you to stay the night before classes. PSA: I loved my stay at Anatole, besides the pool being closed most of the summer. Beware of the family of skunks by the dumpster on the north side when you are on nights, especially if you have dogs. There’s a stray pit bull who followed me on my dog walks every night. Super cool dude, hopefully someone has taken him in by now.
Hatch for brunch on the weekends. Coyote omelet, loaded tumblers with orange croissants for an app. Trust me.
Maples BBQ, Empire Slice House for pizza and Pie Junkie all in the plaza district.
Hefner Grill on the lake for a nice meal.
Bleu Garten for food trucks and beer.
Cowboys once to say you did, then never again.
Good luck and have fun while you’re down there. It’s good for the mind.
Speaking of nights. How long are you on nights? And typically how far into the academy do you start nights? What's the shift?
Thanks for all the recommendations, I'm sure we will check them out. It's nice to have some insight, being that most of us have probably never even been to OKC.
