Help my naive east coast self out, is Fresno not west enough? Or is the middle of CA no different then Montana to you SoCal guys?
In terms of facilities...
Gulfport has a nice new tower/TRACON, the majority of controllers there have no intention of leaving so it could be easier to transfer out later. Bad news is you live in Gulfport.
Southbend - Last I checked their training program is notoriously awful. They have some trainees that have taken 6 years to certify because part of their certification process was you have to effectively work a Notre Dame game. Only a handful of home games a year, mess up, try again next year.
@MJ can give you the Midland scoop
If you narrow it down to a short list you can PM me for contact info of guys that work there.

I'm pretty sure they get some fun traffic with F16s from the ANG units (if my memory serves me correct). It can be quite a party city when school is in session, and a really nice and interesting downtown tucked between 2 lakes. Cheese curds are delicious. I havent been back there in a long time but the cost of living should be way cheaper than Milwaukee or Chicago which are both pretty close.
