Got my e-QIP submitted, MMPI, Drug test, and Medical all done this week, so now the real waiting game is on.

I got tier 2’d for this question. I remember right before I took the MMPI the proctor told me to just answer the questions literally and truthfully.

when I got tier 2’d and was finally able to see a psychologist 1.5 years later he had my results and told me my MMPI failure determination came from these questions:

do you tease animals? (I answered yes because I thought how I throw tennis balls for my dog and every now and then I’ll pretend to toss it and make him go running after it) - now sounds dumb that I answered yes looking back on my two year tier 2

and then I was contradictory when I answered yes to preferring the work of a librarian and liking to read literature, and also yes to enjoying loud parties and going to social events with lots of people.

The teasing the animals one was what really got me and I can see why they’d flag you for that, but shit ?

Grrrr. I also answered "yes" to "I sometimes tease animals" for the exact same reason; I sometimes pretend to throw a fake toy for a dog to make them go running after it. I guess we'll see what happens...

That's a bit frustrating. I also answer yes to the question. I thought it meant if I liked being playful with animals. Bit unlucky they used such a vague word. I don't associate teasing in a negative connotation. Like saying sometimes I tease my girlfriend.

I answered yes to enjoy teasing animals after I decided playing with my dog counts and was not tier 2’d and I have an upcoming class date. I think most have nothing to worry about from that question alone.

The MMPI is made to pick up on patterns that point to possible personality/mental health issues and the FAA has certain criteria for us specifically to point out the ones that aren't conducive to being a controller. It takes more than 2 questions to really be a pattern, so most of y'all should be fine!

I got an email back from my MMPI-2 scheduler at 7:30 this morning asking if this week would work, I first emailed them Friday. I think it just depends on your scheduler

It all depends on who you email. Mine got back to me like 10 minutes after I first emailed her. There was no waiting list

I emailed every person in my state AND every neighboring state trying to make my appointment. I was able to eventually get it scheduled, but I still have not gotten replies from MOST of the people I emailed back in the spring.
