I'd like to ask everyone for what they know about DCA's operations for as far back as you might remember and share any particular facts or thoughts you think are relevant.
The recent troubles are, from what I can tell, just a small fraction of the airport's troubled history. In 2011, a story about the local controller falling asleep and two planes landing without authorization went national; MAD even had a little something made for it (attached below). Up until very, very recently, the problems facing controllers like mandatory overtime or declining staffing levels were still relatively unknown in the public's consciousness.

I'm by no means reverting to paganism; but just what is going on with Reagan? I'm not nearly as experienced or learned as the majority of people here, so I'd really appreciate hearing what you have to say.
