KHOP - Campbell Army Airfield

Anyone have any info here? I've heard nothing but good things about the area. Google showed a old post saying good ole boy system, and toxic environment. Title 5 army employees. How is it? I'm only familiar with Air Force.

I toured there for a possible job before the FAA. The radar is suuppper slow. The tower is feast or famine with mostly helicopter traffic. But you can get an entire divisions worth of helicopters departing/taking off. There’s not much around the area at all but it’s super cheap and iirc it’s only about 90 min to Nashville. This was back in 2014 so I can’t comment about the work atmosphere.

It’s only like 30-45 min to Nashville depending on where you live. The traffic is very slow compared to most FAA places. The workforce is great though. Not toxic at all. Probably the best group of people I have ever worked with honestly. Mixed group from all branches.
