Word on the street is PASS is fighting hard for some stuff, including remote.Political floodgates could really open up in the beginning of July once the Purple & Light Blue CBA negotiations shake out. Anything less than a solid win could severely impact Santa (and probably Mick as well) if Santa can't campaign on "I got 25% of our BUEs this in 2024, I'm going to get the rest of you even more in 2026." Granted that only happens when there are 4 weeks left to vote, but it could be a make-or-break for those waiting to see how it plays out.
Do you think negotiations will be done by then? I think they only started real negotiations in late April. That would be quick for them to get it done unless they agreed to basically only negotiate pay and a couple other articles.Political floodgates could really open up in the beginning of July once the Purple & Light Blue CBA negotiations shake out. Makes me wonder if that distracts the FAA into being more agreeable with NATCA demands to use less resources, more dug in the sand out of defensiveness, or more prone to stalling talks altogether?Word on the street is PASS is fighting hard for some stuff, including remote.
Honestly I could not attest to that. What I can recall (from memory) is that it was normal for NATCA to negotiate first and PASS / AFGE union I am forgetting to negotiate second, ergo leaving PASS / AFGE with the leftovers. This is the first time (again anyone chime in here) in my memory, that PASS/AFGE went first, so the outcome will be interesting.Makes me wonder if that distracts the FAA into being more agreeable with NATCA demands to use less resources, more dug in the sand out of defensiveness, or more prone to stalling talks altogether?
Leaning more and more to Santa/Devine
If it is the latter then I would hope so; I know it was initially mentioned to me that both parties were attempting a "limited opening" but haven't heard much since.Do you think negotiations will be done by then? Slate Book CBA covers most controllers and isn't set to expire until 2026 currently.I'm lost. I was under the impression the FAA said No to openening up for negations, yet there are 4 comments saying "late april" and "PASS working hard..." etc.
Sounds like the perfect easy MOU. Bring over the new tables to to the slate book.Slate Book CBA covers most controllers and isn't set to expire until 2026 currently.
Purple Book CBA and Light Blue Book CBA expire July 1st, 2024 and negotiations allegedly started last month. Those CBAs cover some controllers (staff support specialists) and many other bargaining unit positions (approximately 25% of NATCA 's total membership).
Still dependent upon negotiations getting done, though.Sounds like the perfect easy MOU. Bring over the new tables to to the slate book.
You have to withhold your vote til you hear something. No reason to vote early if a new Cba is on the horizon.Still dependent upon negotiations getting done, though.
Anyone with a brain already knows Team NDJH is a joke. But if Santa can't deliver a decent CBA win for 25% of BUEs with the already established timeline, would that cause people to jump ship to jdatc or, worse, run into the arms of NDJH under protest? More importantly: Will anyone hold their ballot until the beginning of July to see what shakes out?
I absolutely agree, but the question remains if most people who will vote will actually do that or not?You have to withhold your vote til you hear something. No reason to vote early if a new Cba is on the horizon.
The other idiots can’t even figure out the correct things to lie about tho.If you can’t figure out that this nerd will say anything to get elected I can’t help you.
PASS is fighting hard for everything.... and that is largely the reason they have been in negotiations for a new contract for almost 24 months.Word on the street is PASS is fighting hard for some stuff, including remote.
Because they say what you want to hear?Leaning more and more to Santa/Devine
