N90 happened 100% under Rich as both RVP and President. It was utter bullshit the way it went down and he not only let it happen, but appears to of endorsed it.I did not mention pay, though being aggressive with it considering our importance should be a top consideration (I struggle to understand NDJH advocating for differentials, while at its core would not be a good thing as they do not carry into retirement). We are in an era of too much collaboration, full stop. It has proven both good and bad though has evolved into more bad than good. NCEPT alone is proof of that and the dismemberment of N90 (controversial and while we agree it needs to happen the way it was conducted is absolutely horrid / see my FOIA thread where NATCA still has not told us what they got for supporting it). NATCA telling us that it would be impossible to vote on privatization is another one, sure it will probably not happen in our careers but removing our voice from the process (by leadership) is extremely concerning to say the least.
Also as for a federal union that is aggressive and assertive, yes I know I am limited to the NCR at present, but NTEU which represents 150,000 employees (roughly). I'll leave you to google examples of them but what I have heard (first hand) still leaves me impressed.
I agree N90 needs to be moved off L.I., but not that way.
