Mick Devine - Our Members Deserve Better Than Social Media Attacks

Not a lot of action? They forced a runoff and got everyone to understand we don’t want an extension
Not enough action. The original election went to a runoff because 20% of the counted votes voted for the underdogs. I appreciate that because a lot of us are underpaid, overworked and unrepresented. But there’s no candidate right now saying they want to improve those things. They just want to win the runoff.

Well we can’t invent an other option. We can vote down the new contract or try to go better next time. I think it’ll be pretty hard to ratify a contract with no real raise now.

Yeah, but they also went full dumbfuck on article 114 shit and things in general that that just amount to whiny bullshit. You think Tim Ariel cares that his GMs or LR team aren't working airplanes? But we get this naive, immature "working planes is the highest form of being" nonsense on our side? You guys basically went full on "vote for the guy that's promising us pizza every day for school president" and squeezed out talk on real issues like the EWR-N90 thing or fatigue negotiations etc. ALL TO END UP ENDORSING THE FUCKING INCUMBENT. People risked destroying the functionality of the union for that?
It comes down to which narrative you believe. Whether nicks 5 were obstructing everything or if it’s Rich’s fault. That’s really what it comes down to.

This idea that the NEB has no accountability makes no sense

Do we get a chance to ratify any negotiation to the contract on the memberships behalf? From the Natca convention in Florida, I’m convinved we will not get a say in any say in contract negotiations with the FAA on our behalf. We will be told to shut up and accept.

If the union negotiates a new contract, then it will have to be ratified by the bargaining unit. We don't get to vote on extensions.

Yah we have to ratify it. I think it can only be forced if it goes to impasse and binding arbitration.

Thank you. I’m not well versed in that but I appreciate the knowledge. The extension was garbage by all accounts.

So make the needs known and do NOT let it get to impasse. Isn’t this what the current president and MD are already planning for? An impasse thinking they can win with decision makers not knowing a damn thing about what we actually do?

Confirmed by who?

I did. And it was shadow banned

It’s bullshit. The shit you guys believe on the internet is embarrassing.

If you post bullshit on this page people are allowed to say you’re full of shit. That’s most of what I do on here.

By reupping the current administration. We are the crosseyed character in Spaceballs.
1. I made some calls to individuals who were either present or associated with former RVP's, surprisingly people are willing to speak so along as you do not have a "my way or the highway" attitude.

2. So because you were banned it is automatically Lenny?

3. How is it bullshit brother? I do not believe everything, I call/follow up/speak with others

4. Yes I can see that... I suspect you could do the same on the sub if you really tried.

5. I greatly, and by no exaggeration, dislike Rich. Like others have said and posted about though, a vote for NDJH is a vote for a rerun of the Rinaldi years. I watched some people I greatly admired set aside due to Paul acting like a bully. At the very least Rich seems (key word) willing to listen to the discontented. NDJH did nothing but belittle the 20% for forcing a runoff... After the first round they started trying to backpedal. If you truly believe that NDJH represents change, I feel sorry for you brother because the amount of old establishment backing them is extremely alarming.

Everyone already has a voice on this site. Union member or not. I thought it was bad on here.

Your beef should really be with the even larger group that didn’t vote.

We live on different planets

N90 guys choosing to relocate with a golden ticket after 3 years and other benefits. How many of you wouldn’t choose that?
I mean I know it’s not in CONUS so there’s a bit of a difference in magnitude, but that same dangling carrot isn’t good enough for Guam bids either.

Philly is probably not much more appealing, especially with how much of a shitshow the agency has made this entire 804. I for one wouldn’t want to move there to work lvl 12 traffic all while the half-assed radar among other equipment may shit out while doing so.

Plus, with how things have been going, watch those 3 year transfer rights be rescinded by the agency to lock everyone in there and then Rich swallows a big ol’ Whitaker load of solidarity about it.

My hope that they over staff the shit out of PHL and then have to move the radar back to N90 lol. Then PHL would have a releas-a-palooza.

I would be surprised if EWR by itself was level 12 traffic. PHL by itself wasn’t even level 11 and has sat the majority of the last few years below the buffer.
