I mean that's point b of the first post if you are gonna carry and pull it be prepared to actually use it.

Still dumb AF to try and run up on a dude with a rifle, and it appears he was also breaking laws while doing so (exp. Ccw permit)..... so I'm not putting dude on a pedestal.
I’m not either. I think he’s a dumb ass too but they’re making Rittenhouse into some poster child for (I honestly am not sure what) and I’m saying if the shoe was on the other foot and this dude blasted Rittenhouse would they be defending his right to self defense too?

No, because Rittenhouse was literally on video running away from people, not actively shooting everyone in sight. Self defense laws aren’t that hard to understand, try looking them up a little bit before asking silly questions.

lol Wisconsins self defense law is super ambiguous. Rittenhouses entire defense rests on this. In almost any other state he would have never been able attempt this self defense claim. So maybe take your own advice.

That's honestly about the dumbest thing you can do unless you don't have another option though.

Trying to do hero shit and close open ground on someone armed with a rifle who has shown they don't have a problem using it is a great way to end up dead.
I mean, it is part of the run hide fight though, if you don't think you can get out, not saying they couldn't, but then you fight back. How are you to know why someone was shot

He was on video turning and shooting someone following him, last I checked someone following you isn't reason to shoot someone

I’d love to see you explain this, with sources.

100 percent agree with this sentiment, and no, because..... they'd find a reason. You just saw it.

And he's a poster child for all thier hero sheepdog/civil war LARP fantasies. He actually got to do what a lot of them want to do.

Okay so state of mind real quick, put yourself in the mind of a protestor for a second, no hindsight, no bias. You are there. You hear shots. You maybe see on your Twitter feed or in a signal message from your protest medic group there's an active shooter in the area, one person has already been shot in the head. You see a dude moving down the street with a rifle. You decide for the safety of those around you to draw your ccw and try and stop him.

I'm not saying it's clear cut, because I've already said I think dude was dumb for doing what he did, and I apply the same feelings toward everyone about breaking laws while carrying guns (moral consistency is key here) but...

Isn't that at least equally ambiguous as the Rittenhouse defense? Maybe less so if you look at it from a state of mind/intent standpoint?

Im no tactical expert, but if you have to close 50 to 100 feet of open ground on the street you have room to run more than likely. Yes bullets travel faster than nikes, but rifle vs handgun at about any distance isn't a match up I'd like.

I've seen the video. What he did was boneheaded and stupid, and he should have never pulled the gun in the first place and not been willing to fire. You don't de escalate with a gun, you end with a gun. I'd honestly have less bad things to say about what he did had he shot, and I'm willing to bet the whole narrative on this thing would be different had he done so, on both sides.

I don't know if Wisconsin is a duty to retreat state, but even if its not doing hero shit like that is a good way to get clapped.

For you? Definitely not going to. You love to just make shit up as you go along but when anyone else makes a claim without a masters thesis level citation you claim logical fallacy or say “prove it with sources!” Not gonna play your game.

I source everything I say, I’m sorry you make claims you can’t back up with sources of your own ? At least you don’t attempt to rewrite history like the pirate captain of Lake Hefner.

It a hypothetical, not rewriting anything.... the fact you won't answer when you are usually so full of opinions speaks for itself.

?‍♂️

I mean, I haven’t said anything when you changed your username, or before. Not my style to do that, but it seems like it’s yours.

For me it’s really pretty simple. Was Rittenhouse justified in shooting rosenbaum?

Yes he was justified in shooting rosenbaum. Then the people who attempted to stop him/attack him and ended up shot are also justified shootings.

No he was not justified in shooting rosenbaum. Then it’s reasonable to argue they were justified in attempting to stop him.

I can’t really say with any certainty on if he was justified or not in shooting Rosenbaum.

Except bicep boy walked up to Rittenhouse after the initial shooting and talked to him. Kyle said he was going to the police. So he clearly didn't see Kyle as a threat. Only after jump kick guy and skaterboi attack Kyle did bicep boy try to shoot Rittenhouse.

And in closing arguments, the prosecution admitted the pedophile was attacking Rittenhouse. "Yes there was a threat, but everyone takes a beating sometimes." Judge should have thrown the whole thing out when that came out of the prosecutors mouth.

Contradictory testimony imho, but dude also said he thought he was an active shooter (I don't know how those two things jibe anymore than you do). Fact of the matter is it was a confusing situation, dude had good reason to believe he was an active shooter based on what has happening on the ground, regardless of what the interaction was between the two,and I'd fault someone a lot less for a "self defense" shooting in that situation, as fucking stupid and asinine as it was, than I would the dude who was there to play upper midwest GI Joe mall cop for someone strangers shit.

It seems to me there wasn't a single smart person involved in this situation at all, and end of the day the entire thing could have been avoided had Rittenhouse just stayed in his mom's basement, and to me that makes it his fault. Is it murder? I've always thought that was a stretch, but I also can't in good conscience call it self defense either. People go to jail when thier stupidity leads to harm every day in this country. I don't see why this is so different.

On November 12, 2021, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit granted a motion to stay OSHA's COVID-19 Vaccination and Testing Emergency Temporary Standard, published on November 5, 2021 (86 Fed. Reg. 61402) ("ETS"). The court ordered that OSHA "take no steps to implement or enforce" the ETS "until further court order." While OSHA remains confident in its authority to protect workers in emergencies, OSHA has suspended activities related to the implementation and enforcement of the ETS pending future developments in the litigation.

A victory, for now. Guess the Biden administration finally decided that following a court order is probably a good idea after not doing it at least twice.
