This thread is a little stale now that the convention shit-posting has its own thread and there hasn't been much posts on the other typical topics (thank Buddha). That being said, I would like to know how some of the more regular shit-talkers on here ( Uglytaco 32andBelow Homsar Termine jamisjockey Peter Gibbons Billybob ) would personally rank the 17 presidents elected in the 20th Century. Since, you know, we are all Subject Matter Shit Talking Experts (SMSTEs). I cobbled together my list; I had a little difficulty ranking Taft through Hoover (except Wilson) and had to give myself a Wikipedia history lesson for an hour and a half to refresh my high-school-US-history-level knowledge. I still don't feel confident in my 9-13 rankings, but I gave it a shot. I submit my rough list, and expect the shit-posting insults to commence promptly:

1. FDR
2. Teddy Roosevelt
3. LBJ
4. JFK
5. Wilson
6. Eisenhower
7. Truman
8. Carter
9. Ford
10. Clinton
11. Bush
12. Taft
13. Coolidge
14. Reagan
15. Hoover
16. Nixon
17. Harding

I don’t know that much about former presidents but if you’re going to put Lebron James in the top 3 Hitler should at least be in the top 10

Does anybody know where i can get a copy of the books (digital or hard) they gave us in the enroute Academy classes? I'm currently a trainee at a Z facility and i would love to have them back. Really wishing i hadn't thrown them away. >.< After having training paused for over a year due to covid i've lost a ton of basic knowledge.

I’ve been a regular on a few forums and the mods here put up with a lot more shit than most that I’ve seen. Not really surprising given the culture of our profession but yeah.

Lol not an assessment of whether it’s good or not. Just an observation. Sometimes I wish they’d be a bit more aggressive at stopping the dumbest shit but it’s not a huge deal either way.

There’s a fine line between having your forum die from pissing off the active members. Or having it die cuz all the active members scare off the new members

This is the lifecycle of all forums. Funneling the garbage off the front page is a big step towards insulating new people from it though. What a great idea!

I agree. But I’ve also seen when they just silence the old members and it dies just as fast. I feel like Reddit works so good cus there’s soooo many people it’s way more anonymous

Tbh I prolly post here more cus I grew up a forum kid then because it’s an atc forum.

It's also an insanely resourceful website for most types of questions, the hiring threads are hugely helpful and I think that's what keeps a revolving door of new people coming in and driving site traffic.
