News reports in February 2022 grossly misrepresented the facts about a federal harm reduction program.

These are literally true statements, but instead of acknowledging those truth and explaining the context of why they were stated when they were, they label it “mostly false” ? Their own truth rating of “mostly true” is “The statement is accurate but needs clarification or additional information,” which is what would apply here.

And people wonder why “fact checkers” are being attacked for being a propaganda arm these days.

So we have a SAMHSA grant of $30 million that has nearly 20 provisions yet people are claiming that 1 or 2 provisions are going to account for the entire value of the grant and you think that isn’t false?

I agree with this however the premise of the government providing crack pipes to drug users is asinine whether its 2 million or 30 million dollars worth.

Again, I'm for needle exchanges and would go as far as saying some of the European models of providing safe places to do drugs that also offer help is not a bad idea but.....I don't think crack pipe based cold sores are the same level of public health risk that's posed by IV drugs.
