Lmao married with kid and mid level up down. Was assuming the hybrid was paid off. I drive a pickup that's pretty awful as a daily but I actually use the bed on my truck for my hobbies so probably what I'll end up doing if I don't go the EV pickup route for my next vehicle is do the opposite and pick up a decent commuter and keep the truck for the weekends.

Even as a trainee at most centers you’re making pretty sweet money…..at lower lvl towers you’re making enough to survive a little gas bump as long as you didn’t go buy a house way out of budget or a brand new 50k car for no reason. All I’m saying is our job is infamous for controllers blowing money don’t spend it on stupid shit and everyone would be a lot more prepared for things that come up….

I don’t disagree, I was speaking more to the people still on AG specifically though. Even at centers (except the highest locality areas) AG pay is about $50K a year. In the current economy, that’s tough to get by on, nearly impossible if you have a family to support. With COVID I know people who’ve been on AG pay for 3 years now and are really struggling. Maybe this next generation of controllers will be wiser financially because of it, but it definitely sucks in the meanwhile.

This 100%. It was a bad shoot, your property may be your castle in Texas, but you still have to justify feeling threatened and can’t instigate the shooting. The dude got into a verbal argument before going back inside to get his gun, then came back out to argue more. To have that freedom to escalate the situation is antithetical to self defense. The video angle changes right as he shoots and doesn’t show the victim, but it almost looked like he shot the guy in the back, which is a big no no for self defense shooting. When the shooter got away from the guy, he should have aimed at him, said “get off my property,” and if he charged the shooter, shot him then, in the front of his body, like Rittenhouse did. Like the picture says, the guy wasn’t an imminent deadly force threat when he was shot, therefore it’s not a clean shoot.

PENAL CODE CHAPTER 9. JUSTIFICATION EXCLUDING CRIMINAL RESPONSIBILITY

By getting into a verbal argument, going in your house, and bringing out a gun, I can’t see how that isn’t the definition of provoking.
