[QUOTE="edds93, post: 77991, member: 1759"I've seen articles within the last day saying Congress is showing lots of support to extend the bailouts for another 6 months. What's going Are they just going to give the airlines "free" money indefinitely?
Yes. Or at least for four additional years under Biden.
[/QUOTE]
What makes you say this? Dems fighting for expansion of the bailouts? Why wouldn't Trump bailout the airlines as well?

yup, I have. Until you came along and wrote that I thought I was the most pessimistic person on here. You’re being wildly pessimistic about This whole thing. That’s coming from someone who FULLY believes trainees will be furloughed - or - come WAY closer than NATCA will ever admit.
I stopped reading your rant for a second time when you said “traffic will never come back.” It’ll come back. Might take years to increase above 75-85%, and that last 5% will take 10 years, but to say it’ll NEVER come back? Little far fetched.
I talked to Trish the other day on the phone. And obviously the FAA sees an opportunity to save money. Hopefully they don’t do something stupid by letting trainees go. They should do a top down buy out or early go package if that is the goal. I wouldn’t say anything is off the table. I’m not trolling I understand it can be uncomfortable as a trainee. The unions silence is concerning enough. Who knows where this is going. I don’t think anyone will know until late September when we see what traffic levels are post summer. Most of the core 30 will be back to or above 60% by Sept 1. We’ll see if that holds into the fall. It’s a relative number to 2019 numbers which was the busiest ever so take it with a grain of salt.

The union isn’t being silent. They told me they need to get the PPE in place at facilities before they resume OJT.
When are you naysayers going to get it through your thick skulls that RIF/Furloughs are a permanent solution to a very temporary problem.

How did you enjoy the company line happy talk? The good cop/bad cop schtick they play is a scam.

Be quiet and enjoy your paid time off before it becomes unpaid. You knew what you were signing up for before taking the #greatestjobintheworld
He’s right becook, this is a “once in a career break” so “shut up and enjoy it”. Go talk to any senior CPC in your building at the top of the pay scale taking the boat out for 5 days at a time all summer. They will explain to you that “you can always just drive for Uber”.

Out of the frying pan and into the fire. Just get a second job bro, you should have saved up enough money to make it through a cross country move, apartment lease, and hotel stays. Think if you drive Uber you can make $10/hr but work your own shifts bro. Just work 65 hrs/week and you’ll be making the same amount. EZPZ
