Rich himself doesn’t support removing them from the staffing numbers. This clear fix has been on NATCAs leadership’s desk for years. Having them in the staffing numbers is detrimental to the local facility and creates toxic division within the bargaining unit. But those fucktards are too scared to fight AFN on it so here we are years later with a bunch of controllers tearing down other members on the internet. Our current leaders allow the poison to fester because somehow it’s become politically convenient. They completely sold out all our 114s. Right under the bus.We have had several instances of A114s fixing stupid stuff local and district management has tried to impose. Without them, we would be working harder and applying "rules" in an idiotic manner. Idgaf if they haven't been certified at their facility in 7 years. They helped out our entire facility multiple times.
The FAA does need to remove them the staffing numbers. But, the FAA is retarded.
