Time Requirement to Transfer

Does anyone know if there is a waiting period before you can request a transfer? Do you have to CPC first? Reason I ask is cause due to the amount of training backlog at some facilities would it be an option to transfer? Any info would be appreciated.

You can put in an ERR as a trainee but it would be considered after the CPCs ERR.

You don't have to be CPC to submit an ERR, any 2152 employee can file the paperwork. But:

  1. Trainee ERRs are only considered after they run down the entire list of CPC ERRs. So if your current facility is eligible to release someone the slot probably got taken already. And if your desired facility is eligible to select someone the slot probably got taken already. Unless you're trying for N90, as a trainee you probably won't get selected.
  2. Withdrawing from training for any reason counts as one of your two allowable consecutive training failures. So if you are putting in for N90 you better be damn confident in yourself.

Anyone with info chime in, I'd appreciate it. Question...

Do I need to have 1 year< of CPC experience to be able to transfer via ERR?

A lot of crusty dogs try and make people think one year certified is needed. They like to claim that you have to put in time to cover the time you spent in training and it’s just not true. You do what’s best for your family.

Yayayaya. The game is rigged, so you gotta do you boo.

Pretty sure there’s a guy who’s fairly active on here that got picked up like 6 months after he certified.

Just in time to get paid to stay home! Great timing!
haha it couldn't have worked out any better really. I was through 4 days of a 5 day Clearance Delivery classroom course and they called it

Congrats! That’s pretty awesome
Thanks! Makes me so mad when I hear the advice given to people at the academy: "gO To tHe hIgHeSt lEvEl fAcIlItY AnD GeT YoUr rAdAr cErT"

I certified June 2019 at my first facility and got picked up on the October 2019 NCEPT, reported to my current facility February 2020
My last trainee at ZDV was on his last radar sector as a developmental. I gave him my ERR paperwork to copy, and he got picked up literally the month he checked out, as they actually had to update his ERR during the manager ranking to CPC instead of developmental.

I also got out on that one. I helped my competition who was also my trainee. Beat that fuckers.

You left probably the most desirable Z in the NAS, congratulations.

Ever work there? I did 4 years there in between East Coast transfers

A lot depends how you look at it. Colorado is great. Facility sucked to me anyway.

The grass is always greener. They at one point did have a kick ass cafeteria. Fucking Amazing burnt ends.

The 'Late' Pushingtin would not have called it a country club. Back on thier normal work schedules by June last year.

Okay that’s pretty impressive. Only thing I may beat you in is I was only 18 months into the agency from my academy date when I got picked up, 21 months to reporting to 2nd facility
