Im referring to essentials right now who are happy as a clam but don’t realize that the pipeline to fill their prime time leave in 3 years is on permanent hold. Someday, the rest of the essentials will realize we need trainees back so the rest of folks can get leave or better RDOs.

My favorite things is watching store demographics based on which shoppers are wearing masks. Whole foods? Damn near everyone! Bass pro? Walked in that palace wearing a mask I think I was the only non employee wearing one. I felt like a leper, albeit a not functionally retarded, healthy leper.

Ya my state is seeing a big jump in cases, remains to be seen whether it'll lead to another lock down or people are just gonna say fuck it and deal with it. I'm guessing at this point we are just gonna let it ride, but I'd love to be proven wrong and get a few more of these going before we get a vaccine.

I have a couple facilities I could recommend then. You still have to show up and cut the ATIS though, so that might be a deal breaker.

I'm with you though. I made a couple career moves just to prove to myself I could cut it as a legit controller ("legit" in so much as at a facility with Air Carrier Ops that couldn't just shut down if the agency started closing towers).
Now that I've done that, I'm itching to get back to feet on the desk and flicking paper footballs.

So what did i miss... seems like everyone is convinced something major is happening soon on the training front... July 15 is that a lock? Does this mean facilities will go back to their BID schedules. with you know, Sunday pay and differentials and seniority?

I just hope everyone is taking note of what their union is doing for them as a trainee...

still haven't figured out how being waste deep and all in on EVERY hot button social issue is helpful to trainees or CPCs. then again im not that smart

Heard it from a friend who, heard it from a friend who, says mid-July is virtual lock for Zoom training which doesn't actually count towards the training its more of a "refresher" and he said something like 6 months til they think they'll be back in the building. I have a call tomorrow for an update so I guess we will see.
