its a weird phenomena how ppl refuse to accept something that doesn't fit their mental model, and it almost takes on a life of its own of defiance. Ive found the same thing when trying to talk about the potential for Covid to be man made/lab, it just gets shut down hard and laughed at. Even though its probably the most likely thing.

whether they are or aren't, it was inevitable this would be the top news story going into tomorrow. By the end of next week it will be on to the next controversy. Cases are spiking many places, and cases are waning in others. The lockdowns wont come again tho. That was a one off!

ya I understand tht. if you had been in (maybe u were?) during the white book (I know I know "back in myyyy day").... you'd have shed that idealism quick. I really can't put into simple words just how nasty and divisive it was to come to work. Maybe something like what being a (good) ATL cop is right now. Hope springs eternal though

i don't hate anyone on here. I think you probably have that perception because a vocal minority has great power when they team up and attack. Not accepting truths and annoying you are not the same lol. Altho feel free to PM me any examples or further, you may have some good points.

I don't consider my own home to be within "commuting distance" from work. I drive that distance because I'm certifiably insane.

Also, who TF is being called in for same day ops? Or getting a call at 9P.M to be at work by 7A.M?
Short of that, it doesn't take more than 5-6 hours to fly across the country. Are people in the Caribbean or South Pacific or something?

and I’d be willing to discuss that the virus came from a lab, but being studied after being discovered from another creature. Like a lab worker fucked up and got infected or something.

I bought mine the day I was hired as a GS-5 in Aircraft Registration although I never went to Academy for Initial Training.... so XD
