At my Z we watch communicating for safety videos and falcons via zoom. It has helped me maintain my skillz.

Somebody floated the idea of pay raises for affected trainees on the NATCA page and immediately got hit with yOu sHoUlD Be hApPy yOu'Re sTiLl gEtTiNg a pAyChEcK god i hate cpc's
It’s right up there with the guy on Reddit from ZME saying how he conspired with others to wash trainees that so much as mention wanting to eventually transfer any where else.

If someone gives me a base pay and cap of a level 5 and 12 I will show the math of lifetime earnings difference

The entire reason trainees were sent home in the first place was because of NATCA. Show me when and where the agency was seriously trying to furlough/RIF people and the union “saved” them and I’ll believe it. Until then I call total bullshit.

Trainees deserve some type of compensation for this. If the argument is tHeRe’s nO GuArAnTeE YoU WoUlD EaRn tHoSe rAiSeS AnYwAyS then fine. Wait until someone earns a raise, then make the pay retroactive by a year. Hell even 6 months would be fine. If a trainee can prove they would have otherwise earned the raise but were then forced to halt their training and sit at home for a year because of what NATCA fought for, then they should get something. Period.

^ a step or two would be nice at the end since we miss out on the last step or two of our career not the first

True. Or at the very least, automatic waivers to continue past 56 for everyone who was halted in order to make up that time. Would suck having to work an extra year, but I’d do it for the hundreds of thousands of dollars I’d otherwise be missing out on.

I love how NCEPT is simultaneous the worst thing ever because you'll never leave your fac but also the worst thing ever because year old CPCs are yeeting themselves to new facs.
