Anyone know when the next open/exp bid is? Asking for a friend who's separating from the military next year. Pls and ty.

Not sure about open bids.... but 2021/2022 Previous experiences bids have been first quarter of the calendar year(Feb 2021/Jan 2022).

Can someone please clarify this part for me?

I recently failed out of the FAA Terminal Academy. I made it to the last day and failed my final local run. If I go another route, get my CTO and the 52 weeks of experience, does that paragraph mean they will not hire me because I failed out of the academy?

As far as I've seen that's true. I know someone who washed out of the FAA Academy but went on to get a CTO and is working as a controller but has been denied on every hiring bid due to being washed out

I know someone who washed on the final enroute sim, join the guard, get a RAPC, then picked up on prior exp bid last year.

I guess there is no rhyme or reason to how they go out according to previous threads but it's nice to see they are going out.

I got a TOL and just checked USAjobs, it's still showing referral list. The TOL came via email

I called Aviation Careers, fwiw they said TOL's will continue to roll out. Personally I have not gotten one yet.

Not really worried, just curious what my list would be.

I could be wrong but I don't think you get a list till after you complete all the clearances.

I am familiar with the process (I went through it back in 2015), to me this is just a roll of the dice.
