Should have asked this earlier but it just came to mind, any clue if they reach out to prior employers? I really don’t know if my old bosses still work at the companies I used to work for so not sure if that matters to the security clearance POC or not. Also, did you receive the questionnaire during the security clearance or after receiving a FOL?
Yes they reach out to your present employer. Yes they reach out to your previous employer. Yes, it is during the security portion. Your boss will know prior to you getting a FOL that you are trying to leave.

I was wondering if a fair few of you were in the same boat as I am... I received my TOL on 12/27 and submitted the paper work a couple days later, and received receipt confirmation. I've been yet to get anything else since. Should I be concerned? or is it just a waiting game that I'm just going to have to deal with...

Also my POC is TH, I don't know if others have received much of their further paper work from them.

They can only send out a limited number of EODs/CILs per month to keep medical from being overwhelmed. It's all a waiting game.

I didn’t get my TOL until 1/5 but already received my EODS which was just approved today. So it’s not in order and most likely is random and dependent on your rep/region

My POC is also TH and have not hear anything since the TOL confirmation.

Thanks but it basically says wait for further emails for security and medical... and contact someone to schedule mmpi 2... so hopefully I receive the security and medical email soon

Chances are you’ll wait the 3 weeks for medical and have to contact them, at least that’s what I’ve seen. I’m a week in and no medical email but it probably depends on region, got everything else done. You’re gonna love the MMPI-2.

I'm not a big fan of them contacting my current employer. I get the necessity of it obviously, but it's going to put me in a bit of a sticky situation. Hopefully my class date isn't like 6 months after they contact them. Probably will be though. Oh well, should be interesting.

I would first check and see what the court disposition says. Granted you paid over 300 in total fees but if you were actually only fined 70 you might not need to worry about it. I would get a hold of the actual disposition then get in contact with your HR rep/security rep and let them know what happened. The last thing you need is to think it's no big deal and don't list it on your sf86. If it actually shows up as a fine over 300 and you didn't list it you're putting your security clearance at risk and thus the job at risk. Just my two cents.

thanks for responding, yeah I called the court and that's how I found out that I paid over $300. The breakdown of fees that the lady at the court gave me was:

$70 - base fine
$180 - penalty
$14 - crimsur (no idea what this is)
$1 - night court
$35 - icnainf (no idea what this is)
$40 - security
$5 - medair
$15 - dna

If I bring it up with my security POC won't it raise red flags? Especially since I already answered 'no' to that question on the EODS?

Did my fingerprints today and mailed them and they couldn't use the ones sent in the email so just a heads up for anyone who hasn't done it. Having trouble getting ahold of my contact to schedule my MMPI

I still haven't gotten any emails/responses from my CIL people... IDK how all these people already have all the CIL stuff done!

My advice, if you haven't done so already, is to start getting your information together for the background check. I'm glad I have never been a troublemaker, because documenting even my willfully simple life took long enough to make me regret doing anything ever.

What kind of information?

I've worked 30-40 hours a week for the past 7 years. Do I still need my school (community college) transcripts or do I qualify solely based on work experience?
