Hiring Bid FAA-ATO-22-ATCEXP-80642

Officially received my offer from the FAA, unfortunately, it was my previous facility I was at before leaving the FAA. Still trying to get answers on why they are treating prior experience bids like a reinstatement bid, but I dont have much hope of getting any real answers
Have you been out for a year?

Not at the time of the bid. As of now, yes. But as far as I was aware, the year mark is meant for reinstatement bids. No where have I seen in writing they are also using it for Prior Experience bids.
Everything I have seen from the last few months is that they were treating inside 12 months as reinstatements even on prior exp bids. They started doing this a year or so ago to try and stop people leaving just to get a different facility by avoiding the actual process.

Same here. I sent them this lol

Good afternoon,

I am turning down this facility assignment. Why wasn’t I given a list of facilities like everyone else on a prior exp bid? I’m not applying for CPC reinstatement. Thank you for your time.

Supposedly they're doing it to people outside 12 months too. I'm still awaiting my medical but I was outside 12 months at the time of the bid.

I haven’t read up on it since the new rules came out. What if you were CPC and transferred to a DoD 2152 position instead of straight up resigning. I might of read that transferring to DoD is the same as resigning but I am not sure. That really sucks, hope you guys end up getting a proper list or* at the very least some answers.

I believe the main thing is if you left before getting CPC or try to return within 12 months. A few people have mentioned being over 12 months but it appears they may have been inside that timeframe when the bid was out.

I was FAA removed for 3 years and was offered a list with facility levels I was certified at or lower.
Would be nice to know their actual cutoff. I don't plan on leaving where I was assigned for a long time but tons of people have been stuck in that situation lately.

I have transferred to DOD lol

Well hopefully you had your cpc for the 52 weeks and applied for that most recent prior experienced bid too. Hopefully when the bid came out you were out of the FAA for a year.

Same thing happened to me…but who do you go to to complain that they aren’t following their own guidelines lol
