Because there are a very limited number of flight surgeons reviewing them (like one per region). And they are the same flight surgeon dealing with everyone already in the agency. New hires take last priority over those already in so they only work on new hire cases when they have time.

How large is a region? I’m in the Houston area so not sure how large my region would be. You would think with the amount of demand there is for ATC’s they would have more flight surgeons to keep up with the demand. Or at least hire temps during a bid to keep up.

Finally got my e-Qip done and submitted. I never got any requests for fingerprints though.. Do those come from the security POC? Or did i just miss something in the e-Qip that asked for fingerprints?

It should’ve been in the e-Qip e-mail with the rest of the attached documents. Your security POC should’ve also mentioned it in the instructions of the e-mail.

I just got my medical? Literally got the email at 12:16 AM CST

Same got mine this morning. Does that mean I passed my eqip? Also, this wording is a bit confusing.
You are required to complete, sign (Type your complete name), date and return the Pre-Employment Interview Worksheet to this office at a minimum of 10 days prior to your scheduled Appointment Date. Please adhere to the 10 days and do not make the appointment any sooner than 10 days from the date that the completed interview sheet is emailed back.

So I'm reading it as submit the document within 10 days of my appointment but then it says don't make it within 10 days? I'm sure I'm just reading it wrong.

Submit it soon, but submit it at least 10 days before your scheduled medical. For example, if you complete the form and send back today, schedule your medical at least 10 days after for example, assuming they don’t work weekends, the earliest you can schedule and comply with the rules would be 2/12/2018 (Monday)

It's saying submit it, wait 10 days to do your medical. Your appointment has to be at least 10 days after submitting your interview worksheet.

Okay that makes sense. Thank you fine gentlemen.
