True but I would rather have an academy grad than a tower cpc just like a tower would rather have a academy grad than my dumbass that doesn’t even know what a king air looks like.
It doesn't matter what it looks like, it matters what it sounds like. Also, it matters if it's super or not, so we know to wish them a super day.
 
They tried to pass this (the any level part) at the last convention and it was voted against.
You can’t change the CBA at the convention. They were debating forcing the union to support removing ingrade/downgrade and then it was amended to also include supporting a change to any facility pay level. It was the most 50/50 resolution that was debated but ultimately failed.

I believe it was originally intended to allow someone who spent a career working busy traffic to fade into retirement at a slower facility as they age. No one’s actually doing that though, there’s a lot of money at stake, they’re just using it to move laterally out of red 12s.

I don't see a problem with doing 15 years at a Z and then being able to go wherever you want. It is the FAAs and NATCAs problem we can't transfer anywhere. However it was intended to be written, A124 is being used at Z's in order for people to get where they wanna go. 15 years is a long time to be stuck at one place. I wish they would amend the article to 10 years CPC anywhere, but NATCA hates us so it will probably be thrown out of the next contract

15 years *as a CPC*. so more like seventeen and a half to eighteen years.
