Finishing up my SF86 and the portion concerning my financial record is giving me a hard time. I've had a couple of things go to collections. Looking at my Equifax credit report, section 10 shows that I have nothing in collections on my report. However, looking at CreditKarma, I have the two accounts I am thinking shown as "removed". Should I list these? These have all been taken care of, just not sure if I should list them or not.

If those situations apply to the questions asked then list them. Knowingly leaving something off your sf86 is a quick way to not get a security clearance.

If they were definitely your debts I would list it and add additional comments and explain they’ve been removed. I had one I thought was removed so I didn’t list it only to be updated by Experian after the fact that it was not removed... I was never able to amend my SF 86 and although the small debt has been paid I regret not listing it because I wasn’t trying to hide it. I tried several times to contact my security POC about it and she never replied to me so I can only hope for the best and if they have question about it hope they’ll just ask! For me it was only a couple hundred bucks so I’m hoping it’s really not a big deal..

I was offered 3 class dates: March 4th, March 14th, and March 22. My son is probably being born tomorrow so I didn't commit to one yet, but I'm 99% sure I'll accept 3/22 Terminal class

Hey dudes, for those of you that did your medical already. Just a quick question how long did it take? Not including waiting etc. I was kinda surprised how not in depth it was? I wasn't questioned on anything medically related in the past and thought I might be. After the nurse did the EKG etc I talked to the doc for maybe 5 minutes and just got a "ok you're all good on this end" I expected more?

Off topic from the current discussion...but for those of you getting class dates who are still in college, are you guys planning to drop out or defer? How long are you able to defer your class dates for?

Yeah I graduate in May and didn’t expect to get a class date til after September. I’m in the first batch done and am genuinely scared to get a date that soon. Need advice. Aviation degree not necessary if I already got the job I wanted I guess.

You'll be fine. The FAA will work with you on dates within reason for a valid excuse. 2 months is reasonable.

Medical was surprisingly short for me too

Just started my medical portion. I'm assuming any of you who have gone through this didn't actually list every single OTC medication you have gotten in your life for colds, flu, coughs, strep throat, etc.... right? That seems a bit crazy. I also took muscle relaxers for a month about 1 year ago for back spasms, is that something that should be listed or since it was for short term usage I shouldn't bother?

Medical took like 15-20 minutes I'd say

Received mine tonight as well. Also wondering how thorough everyone was re: listing previous otc and prescription meds.

Received my medical paperwork last night (2/27/18) as well. Thankfully my list of prescription meds is pretty short. I have had a few knee surgeries with painkillers prescribed, and that is all I have to list. Speaking of that, has anyone had a reported ACL/Meniscus surgery and did they ask several questions about it? I'm getting the paperwork from my surgeon as well at the physical therapy prescriptions and sessions from my physical therapist just in case.

I had two meniscus surgeries, mentioned the meds. Youll be fine that wont hold you up at all. My Dr for my medical couldnt care less about me haha he looked at his computer for like 5 minutes never said a word then said okay you're done.
