Hiring Bid Air Traffic Control Specialist - Trainee: FAA-ATO-17-ALLSRCE-53474

Scratch that. She replied to my email in like 30 seconds lol. Someone with the same name as me. Sorry other David G! My heart literally sank to my feet when I read that first sentence about not passing the MMPI.

Did they tell you if you cleared in the second email?

She said just waiting on my MMPI and I asked everything else look okay? And she said looks like it. Guess that one just takes longer? Would be ironic if I failed it lol.

That's honestly the scariest thing. I know my medical is good and my security will be fine, but that test you have no idea.

It would be my luck to fail it even though there's no absolutely no reason for me to.
I have wondered how many people actually get stopped by the MMPI. How much of everyone's time is wasted by taking the test and follow up tests resulting in finding the .1% that have an actual psychological issue.

I saw a statistic on here once...was it @breakaway2000 who posted it? Not sure if I recall correctly, but I believe it was a very small percentage that fail.

If people didn’t try to lie and/or beat the test there would be much less tier 2 applicants.

How private is everyone about this process, just curious... I haven’t really told anybody other than immediate family what’s going on just because until I have a class date it’s not 100%... just wondering if others have been this way too...

Random question. Didn’t exactly know where to ask this. I live in Oklahoma about 15 min away from the MMAC. How does the per diem system work for someone who doesn’t have to move here to OK? Or could anyone direct me to the thread to ask? Appreciate it!

I kept it pretty quiet until I got a TOL. Now everyone I know, knows. Gotta keep the fans happy.

I believe you just get in state per diem.

You get a reduced rate... Might only be for meals

For anyone who has done their medical already... I called the AME on the approved list but the receptionist told me he was ill and will be out of office for 3 months...She gave me a few numbers and names of other FAA approved AME's that weren't on the list. Did anyone else have to see someone that was not listed on the initial list that the FAA sent them? I emailed my HR POC to see if it will be an issue and left a note on the email I sent back to that weird 9-agl-avs email but I was wondering if anyone else had a similar situation?

So I sent an email to the AGL email just curious about a general update, I got a response saying I didnt pass my MMPI, and said they never received my notes about ambien or VA disability. I've never been prescribed ambien and I don't have VA disability? Um..... Now what? I have a common name maybe they confused me with someone else?

So they randomly pulled some other David G's medical records and it showed them every prescription they have gotten written? Thought the FAA couldn't/would only pull medical records in rare circumstances.

It doesn't matter if it isn't on your initial list. If that is who the medical people are telling you to go to it is fine.

Although probably tell them who it is you go when you reply so the correct oersop gets your paperwork and gets paid

If you live within 50 miles of the MMAC you will receive the meal portion of the per diem ($37.40), but not the housing portion ($58.20).
