I called the number listed on my TOL, got this guy and explained that I had gotten the TOL/confirmation of TOL paperwork in December and hadn't heard anything since. He then said the same stuff here (this is ... so much BEYOND a helpful site, I really hope the mods know this) like they can only initiate a number of CILs per month, it's random, etc. There was no mention of changing POCs or anything like that. Honestly it was a bit of a relief to just know that I wasn't forgotten, I guess.

Is it possible that ppl are randomly selected a certain month (which it is what it is, what can ya do) but those people selected have a better chance of moving through it more quickly based on their POC? It doesn't seem like POCs have a voice when choosing who gets chosen that month.

Did those of us with DC get kinda moved down? I don't really know. I don't mind waiting however long it takes.

I don't mind either. Something just flipped in my head and made me more anxious once I saw people were already getting dates for the academy lol. There is that chance that some people fall through the cracks when files change hands though.
 
I just completed my medical this week. I'm afraid they're going to give me a class date for March/April when I have an early October wedding. I really don't want to be planning my wedding and flying back home for dress fittings whilst at the academy. What's the likelihood of getting a class date afterwards even if my wedding doesn't fall within the time I hypothetically might be at the academy?

I would guess that if your wedding isn't until AFTER you'd be leaving the Academy they won't care much. Let your facility deal with that, IF you pass the Academy.

I agree this forum is so helpful. Good to talk to everyone else going through the process.... no one else really gets it lol

If they give you a class date in March/April, they're not going to let you postpone 6+ months especially since you'd be long finished with the academy prior to your wedding. It certainly never hurts to ask, but be prepared for the take it or leave it ultimatum to follow. Reasons like this are why they are so stringent on the 120 day separation rule for members of our military. They want people who are committed and ready to go now.

This job is all about multitasking. I'd hope you'd be able to plan the majority of your wedding prior to leaving.

On a personal note, even if you had the choice of going before or after, I'd still advise going before your wedding. Failing the academy is hard enough on its own, I'd rather cross that bridge prior to marriage then immediately following.

I wish. I’m on day 10/21 waiting for the first medical email.

Just waiting for my MMPI results but apparently I'm good to go otherwise. April/May date would be preferred.

You have your medical clearance but not your MMPI? Your medical clearance includes the MMPI-2 test results and the DT results when your packet reaches HR.

Hoping for a call either Monday or Tuesday since I was cleared on Friday.

I'm sitting pretty with all my clearances (security, drug, mmpi-2) but medical. I took it back around the 13th so I'm hoping it'll clear shortly. I want to follow up to see what the status is, but I would rather not annoy my POC's.

google "faa hr rep" + the name of your poc and see how easy it is to find them my friend 🙂
