As an aside (especially since it's apparently not in the stars for me to be one of the lucky ones who go through this process quickly), your age is locked in when you apply, yes?

Shouldn't be, but I am. Im 2 weeks shy of 6 months since my medical exam and still waiting, while people in the same region as me are getting cleared a week after their exam dates. if there is such a backlog, like my medical POC keeps saying, it doesn't make sense that Im being passed over for people who applied a year after me.

don't get me wrong, Im happy the process seems to be working better. Im not irate at the people who are lucky enough to get through so quickly. im irate at the process that is making some of us wait 6+ months.
 
Academy date: March 14th - Terminal

TOL - 12/27
EODs - 1/11
CIL received - 1/25
CIL requirements complete - 2/16
FOL - 3/2

I live local so I don’t know if that had anything to do with a quick class date or not.
 
@StealthChain - you had DC as well, right? I called today and got a man named K (probably not the new POC, I'm guessing. Who knows?). He did confirm that at least I was in the ~system as waiting to begin the EODS/CIL process, just couldn't tell me when, as it was random.
 
Finally heard from my security contact today asking for additional information, documents or mitigating factors about collections on my credit. They were small accounts and have all been paid. Has anyone had something similar, sent in information and still cleared? Wondering if this is going to get me denied or not... one was a medical bill that I never even knew about and when I saw it listed I called the creditor and paid it right away in full. Honestly never received anything from them... hoping it’s not a big deal

Not a big deal, you'll meet with an investigator and explain it all. They really only care about items that are currently in collections/delinquent with no payment plan in place. If you've paid everything off you have nothing to be worried about.

Thanks I appreciate that. I was hoping not to have to meet with anyone. The email is asking for me to reply within 15 days with detailed information and supporting documents. But yeah everything is paid off so hopefully it doesn’t add too much more time on for me. Although this seems to be moving so fast anyway...

I had a cell phone bill in collections, ~$260 and they still cleared me. Like @breakaway2000 said you’ll eventually meet with someone and can explain it then.

Safest thing you can do is get a receipt of payment and have that handy or send a copy of it in as a reply to show it's been resolved. They just want to know it is fixed or being worked on.

Yes, that's who I had. What did you say to them when you called? I'm sure it is random to an extent, but a lot of the people being completed now seem to have the same rep.
 
No but really why aren’t we using their names? I think there are multiple LMs
