It's Over (Finally)

Our only chance at a big raise is going to impasse and getting good mediators. The other way would have been to get it in the reauth instead of a staffing excel sheet
Agreed. There is still a chance, do not get me wrong, but my gut says mediators may not give us even 5-8%

Joking aside, with the Purple Book and PASS ATO (not AVS) contracts going to impasse my optimism is not high.
I've been paying attention to the Purple & Light Blue Books negotiations.... and I had not heard they went to impasse. In fact, my sources have, by and large, gone completely silent. Is it confirmed they went to impasse and binding arbitration?

My source indicates impasse, there is always a chance the source is wrong so I would not stand and die on that hill. My PASS sources though (multiple) say it will happen. Honestly the individual has never given me reason to doubt what is passed.

Can a developmental be denied the 4 hours for voting leave? From my understanding voting leave is approved based on staffing and workload. However devs do not count toward staffing so how can they affect workload? Also is meeting the hours for NTI a valid excuse for denial?
Considering voting leave is coded as admin time, management can absolutely make it conditional and hold it over your head. Being conditional is only a no-no if it’s annual/sick.

Yeah he really pulls the race card for everything. I remember when he came to a facility tour he went to the first black guy here and was like yeah…so is this town racist? I got that vibe. And we’re all like..are you kidding me?
I mean there are some FAA towers in some small questionably racist towns. I would say that was a legitimate question to ask the guy. Especially if the person he asked was one of the few black people that worked there.

The fact that he said absolutely nothing and PAY and WORKING CONDITIONS, in his introductory email as the president of a LABOR UNION, and also couldn’t even throw in a token like “ I am excited to sit down with Mick Devine and get to work together to solve the issues this union faces”, is not a good sign at all.

I can’t imagine any other union presidents and their surrogates basically telling the membership that their pay is good as is, and won’t go up. It’s a joke

Combine this with Elon musks desire to trim 2 trillion from the budget, not only will we not get a raise, they will be giving us a cut. Yay!

Vote accordingly.
