Will NATCA and the FAA extend the contract?

The election is over, and Trump is going to be President. We have been briefed that Trump plans to sign EOs that will forbid the FAA from negotiating anything other than the minimum required by law. This would in theory gut 90 percent of the protections and beneftits in our contract when it expires. Does Nick Daniels want a contract extention until 2029? Is the FAA willing to agree to that? If not, what does NATCA plan to do to protect itself and its members from these Trump Executive orders when our contract expires?

Please don't turn this into a Democrat vs Republican argument. I am hoping someone in the know is willing to share what the future holds for our contract and union. Thank you.
 
Nick said in his runoff campaign townhalls/videos he’d be negotiating a new contract. In the August NEB meeting minutes he withdrew the motion he made for Rich to extend the contract. That’s all we can go off of now.

Unfortunately if those EOs are signed again we would be stupid to be negotiate under those EOs... The union messed up when they extended the first time and now we are stuck. If he would try to extend the time to try will be now before trump returns into power.

And to be fair I am all for opening the slate book and getting more money and fighting for as much as we can for more night diff sat premium pay getting us out of the pay cap OT in our retirement calculations etc etc etc but if those same or worse EOs are in play... Do we really think the FAA will play ball with all that we want and will demand? The answer is hell nah

How dare a bunch of Union members expect their Union Dues to go toward improving their Pay!!!!

You should be happy to be at the Scope 6 days a week so the Delta pilot (who used to make roughly what you did) who flies 6 days a month can make $400K+!

No they are the retards who extended after Biden got elected pushing the contract into an u known administration. Plus if they were so worried they could have just extended again. They don’t listen to us about anything else.

So the leaders of our union can be bullied by “2 people” and a few “random internet people”.

Your boy also has a video that says “Day 1 pay raise MOU” on his campaign page, I’m sure people will be happy with the slate book when that day 1 raise MOU is signed.

Nick has no problem already hitting the bars up in DC partying with the NATCA credit card but can’t let us know where he’s at with all of those MOU raises he promised.

You can’t extend through Democrats presidency and then extend through a republicans presidency and tell people they need to keep paying dues while everyone else around us is getting paid. At some point the union has to do something. Yes we’re capped in our current status as federal employees. So work on that. Work on more premiums. Work on anything besides a bar tab.

The good news is now you can just leave "the president said he had a plan for a day 1 pay raise" i did not get a pay raise.

Union members are dumb. Remember if you're average half the people in the room are dumber than you. I know this website only attracts the most intelligent.

What gets me is this leaked audio of rich saying if Trump wins we can't negotiate. It wasn't some gotcha, he said it, and then changed after feedback.

What wasn't sent out was a list of all the executive orders etc listing why we would NOT want to negotiate under trump.

Wages-are falling behind.

Solidarity-it's like a scam contest. Who can leave the earliest, who can lose their medical the longest, union favorites get seemingly picked for whatever random task.

Management relationship-the union runs it with management.

400k? There are left seaters who's normal salary BEFORE OT is 600k. There are pilots making over a million this year guaranteed. Not private charter pilots. Pilots from Southwest, delta, etc.. being a controller is a raw deal it's time to get off the titanic.

Anyone suggesting we're gonna get a better contract under Trump is either already a supe or has 10 bids in for OS. Extend the contract or suffer.
 
I blame want to be mob boss Rinaldi and Trish. They needed to get that one more extension before retiring without consulting with the membership or thoroughly examining the consequences of extending. Thanks Rinaldi Consulting, I’m glad you still get that lucrative consulting fee.

Santa told the FAA an extension is off the table. Not sure if they would do an extension now (the FAA), if the FAA really thinks they would route us under Trump, why would they agree to extend? So even if Dickless Daniles wants to extend, I hope the FAA tells him to fuck off, and that this goes to all or nothing pay arbitration in two years.

Both Nick and Rich were swayed by the membership. And the membership is half retarded and those retards were swayed by other anonymous retards on the internet made up of a coalition of angry members and anti union non members and anti union supes. Thank god we all listened to them. We’re definitely renegotiating. We have to. You can’t go back on that. Fingers crossed
