Will NATCA and the FAA extend the contract?

training on slow traffic is one of the easiest things you’ll do all day and you get a 20% raise.

Tons of training does not make a trainee successful. Deliberate training on meaningful traffic makes a trainee successful.

If your goal is to check somebody out by squeaking them by, training 24-7 regardless of circumstances will do it. Burning hours on pointless sessions is usually a waste of time for most trainees who need progressive overload of their current skillset to develop.

That’s true if you just give them an arbitrary amount of hours based on the old ways of doing things.

NATCA has no place to tell management to "screw off" in regards to training. Management has a right to assign work, training is work.
Forcing people to train is not conductive to productive training. I can clearly recall being forced to train a certain difficult individual because nobody else wanted to train him either. In the end, the supervisors ended certifying the douchebag even though none of the controllers in the "training team" gave any recommendations.

I have made inquiries, not sure brother.
That would be hilarious if they didn’t lol. Imagine getting nothing done with pay and losing the only “win” regarding pay in four years lol. Nick made a video specifically about Rich failing to get the OJTI thing codified as permanent and criticized him for only getting periodic extensions to it lol.

They’ve already stated publicly months ago that they’re intending on killing the 20% OJTI MOU in retaliation to Rich/Mick politicking attacking the NTI to win an election. And can you blame them why would they give the BU a bonus if the union’s own retarded leadership doesn’t even fucking support it

Right, let us see some receipts because this (your reasoning) is exactly opposite of what I have been hearing. Not saying the 20% OJTI will stay (I expect it to be gone), but the reasoning you have given seems… dubious at best.

What I heard was NATCA leadership was told by the FAA they would only extend until Decemeber because the Agency questioned the Union's commitment to training. Mick made it a point to attack the NTI and Agency's desires over it.

I don’t expect it to be gone. But who knows. I also dont have a ton of faith anything after this red wave is gonna result in a net positive for us. But it was definitely going to be a stupid prize leveraged against Rich to punish us for playing stupid games.
What have you been hearing

He’s going to blame me and my commenters 🫣
I blame you for everything in all of America because you’re intolerably liberal and now we gotta deal with a retarded religious cult running all 3 branches.
And on the professional side, working for conservatives will result in worse pay and benefits and working conditions 10 times out of 10.

To be honest everything I heard relates it to the budget alone and not internal union politicking. Obviously the incoming administration would like (my own opinion) like to cut the premium “save” money. Really depends if Whitaker extends it or not just throw us a bone (my opinion).

The nick supporters are playing this one smart, if it gets cancelled it’s Rich’s fault if it gets extended it’s thanks to Nick. Cults gonna cult.

Boeing strike agreed to contract 11/5. Boeing issues massive layoffs 11/16.

"The decision to lay off employees comes from the company's $25 billion in losses over the past five years, according to Ortberg. The losses are partially attributed to the fatal crashes of the MAX jets in 2018 and 2019, and a door plug blowout over Oregon earlier this year."

"The strike strained Boeing's finances. But Ortberg said on an October call with analysts that it did not cause the layoffs, which he described as a result of overstaffing."

The CEO of Boeing disagrees with your assessment.
