Will NATCA and the FAA extend the contract?

If I read this correctly, they are put in place up until the point Canada and Mexico stop the drug flow/illegal flow… And the Mexican president this morning said they just broke up two caravans in Mexico moving towards the boarder… So it seems like the threat is working and it hasn’t even been put into place. So no price increases yet..
What did you read (or conveniently not read) about China?

What are we supposed to do? Spend money and resources on improving people's lives so they don't get to the point of abusing drugs? Fucking sick commie bastard
Forget the war on drugs, I can think of ~190 countries we should go to war with before we bother wasting our money on our citizens.

Exactly? Why make our lives better when we could make everyone else's worse? Actually now our lives will look better in comparison, someone get this man a job with doge he's wasting his talents in the faa

I did, and if you didn’t know, we already have a tariff on china that trump originally put on and Biden left on. The additional 10% is being added up until the time china quits sending the ingredients needed in Mexico to create fentanyl which current kills over 200 Americans per day right now. Once china cracks down on that industry, the 10% comes off. So yes I did read it.

They may or may not extend the contract, but good news from the latest update guys. This is really promising for the workforce.

Record attendance at the ATC Conference in Trinidad!!!! Trish Gilbert (who should be Persona Non Grata with how she and her boy Rinaldi fucked this career field for the forseeable future) is pumped with how that conference went!

NATCA working hard for the members stuck on 6 day work weeks, thank god.

Don’t forget they are also working hard for you not to transfer where you want to be.

So the part you are conveniently not reading is the "above any additional tariffs". Current tariffs+additional tariffs+10%.

Solid work.

"
The new data show overdose deaths involving opioids decreased from an estimated 84,181 in 2022 to 81,083 in 2023. While overdose deaths from synthetic opioids (primarily fentanyl) decreased in 2023 compared to 2022, cocaine and psychostimulants (like methamphetamine) increased.

Several states across the nation saw decreases; Nebraska, Kansas, Indiana, and Maine experienced declines of 15% or more. Still, some states saw increases. Alaska, Washington, and Oregon stood out with notable increases of at least 27% compared to the same period in 2022."

Tldr - opioid overdose deaths are declining. Not to say this problem shouldn't be addressed at all, but maybe tanking the buying power of 300 million Americans isn't the best way? And maybe what we are currently doing is already on the right path towards a better future.

and bonus question - Did you care this much when 1000+ Americans were dying from Covid every day?

Seems to me that Narcan (aka a band-aid on a broken leg) is the reason for the numbers you tout, not addressing the actual issue of massive drug influxes across a wide open border which are facilitated by our largest enemy... doesn't seem to me that "what we are currently doing is on the right path towards a better future".

and bOnUs QuEsTiOn - Did you care this much about rising costs when inflation was ravaging millions of Americans every day two years ago?

You're right, let's make inflation worse.

Imagine actually believing this narrative. All raising tariffs on Mexico will do is directly make things cost more for the US consumer, with little effect on Mexico itself.

Here you go:

The whole world did, because it was a global issue, (you can act like you forgot admitting you were wrong about inflation only being a result of money supply, and also conveniently forget Trump approved more spending than Biden did). But we can act like an specific individual issuing specific tariffs that directly cause price increases is the same because it suits your purpose in this instance I guess?
