Slate Book Extended Until 2029

That's the problem with this "leave the union" shit. It doesn't matter how many people leave, NATCA is still the bargaining entity. Not paying dues is just a dirt bag personal decision. The real process (impeachment, decertification, etc) requires actual work outside of bitching.
You know what’s a “dirt bag personal decision?” Being the walking EEO complaint of your area. I acknowledge the fact that I brought this up in another thread and don’t aim to beat a dead horse, but you made totally unsubstantiated claims that a NATCA presidential candidate lost the election because of their skin color. That frankly tells me all I need to know about your comments gaslighting those who choose to leave the union, among many other important subjects.

Joining NATCA was a personal decision for each and every one of us just like leaving is, whether it has anything to do with the extension/NATCA’s standing on raises or not. By your rationale, you’re no better than Eugene Freedman.

Thanks JD, do I have to wait until January?

Nope. Can do it now. 1188’s are a January thing, pac is anytime.

I suggest filling it out online, then emailing a pdf copy to make sure it is received.
And just to make sure I’m filling out the right thing, it shows as “association dues” on my paystub, same thing?

Yes. This is what mine ‘used’ to show at a point in the past. If you submit the new form and set it to zero they will stop. May take a couple pay periods.

***also, yes I know, my FEHB fees for blue cross standard were cheap years ago when I was single!

I had a coworker get out, and they didn’t process it for months. He had to fight them on it. Make sure you send it correctly.
In one of my legislative classes the instructor openly said they won’t process PAC cancellations if you leave the union unless you request it

I gotta say, it is absolutely exhausting seeing people on here and in positions of power in NATCA argue about "strategy" and what avenues are and aren't available to NATCA to improve our lives. As if everything that we can and cannot do is dictated by the agency, the administration, and the rules they set forth; as if NATCA has no sovereignty in the situation.

I hopefully have an awakening for all of you that think that way: WE have the power. When it comes down to it, WE are the ones that make this shit work. Planes don't leave the ground unless WE say so. Congress doesn't get to fly home unless WE say so. Cargo doesn't move unless WE say so.

Could you even imagine if we didn't have stooge after stooge after stooge sitting on the throne of this association? If we instead had someone in the vein of a Harold Daggett (Longshoremen), Shawn Fain (UAW), or Sean O'Brien (Teamsters)? How quickly would a TRUE labor leader notify the agency that they are instructing all BUEs to operate strictly by the letter of the .65, use sick leave if they are incapacitated, and to do so until advised otherwise?

We always like to lean on the idea that management's declarations amount to "the beatings will continue until morale improves." Guess what? We're the ones with the stick, motherfucker, they're the ones that should be scared.

They want you working 50+ hours a week? Fuck you, pay me. They want these sequences safe, orderly, AND expeditious? Fuck you, pay me. They want to give out sick leave letters for getting sick, using NyQuil, and taking two days off? Fuck you, pay me.

That isn't a strike. That isn't a work stoppage. That isn't anywhere near an illegal labor action by a federal workforce. That gets results.

Grow a spine, you feckless fucking cowards.

“You know, we always called each other goodfellas. Like, you'd say to somebody: "You're gonna like this guy; he's all right. He's a goodfella. He's one of us."
