It is a scam because the union can say they are doing something while every incentive goes to the same people over and over and over.

If the facility you work at is causing airline CEO’s to go to the media. You’d probably get the “scam” bonus too.

Just do the opposite of what you think you should do-for instance, do you get more money for being busy? For taking shorter breaks? For not taking nyquill? Call people whatever you want but I've seen the most incompetent people promoted and the scammers just play video games all day. When you leave the cab a little sweaty just know somewhere an article 114 person is folding laundry.
 
I'm curious with all the noise surrounding this situation if in 5ish years this portion of Newark airspace isn't going to be a garden spot. I mean at this point it would appear the FAA is going to dump a lot of money. So over staffed, best equipment, with lots of AI for Controllers to supplement?
 
The best way to advocate for pay is to have someone say they're pretty much God and talk about how they have to really suffer 60-hr workweeks to hit half a mil. Boy you have it tough!

Well, everything you suggested was good until you suggested “AI.” Why the hell do folks think AI is some magical solution? Are you seeing the news reports of dipshit attorneys trying to take the easy way out by using AI for their case briefs and then getting busted in court because the AI had them cite nonexistent cases? Don’t forget the lessons our math teachers taught us: “Garbage in, Garbage out.”
